How to make your own Night Vision Device! praveensmedia: hey scott, could you please make a battery powered Desktop PC like a laptop. not UPS powered. PC motherboard uses only DC Power only. by using a PSU like APC back-UPS, 12v to 230VAC again 230V to 12v conversion is happening. in this way lot of energy is wasting for conversion.
Using a Battery directly to the motherboard with some protection and charging circuit will saves lot of energy and gives longer battery life.

Scott, I was wondering if it was possible to create a 4G signal booster for those who works in an isolated locations, instead of buying repeaters or boosters. I was hoping that maybe you could make a project, If it was possible to make please do it would help a lot.

Be aware of IR lighting to face and eyes. High exposure from that lot of LEDs can cause injury. So do not light directly to face, or not for a longer time. Due to invisible light there is no accomodation of pupil and it is realy dangerous.

I wanted to build a thermal camera using a Nipkow disk and the sensor from an optical thermometer. But the sensor is far too slow for the scan rate: (
