In this episode of Testing circuits I found on the Internet, I will be having a look at a popular inverter schematic I found on google images. The design uses an astable multivibrator in order to pull current alternately through a transformer and thus create a high AC voltage on its output side. A lot of DIY inverters use this functional principle. That is why I will build up the schematic, properly test the circuit and show you what problems it comes with that you can more or less easily fix. ruhoer: Great scott: buy or build inverter? Its gonna be awesome. Maybe even with disassmbling some budget pure sine inverters(lets say under 100-200. As a donor of awesone FETs can be a car hybrid inverter, they usally have 2-3 inverters inside. As prius 20 have 3 inverters(MG1, MG2, HVAC inverter.

Can you look at some of the FM transmitter circuits? You know the ones where you can adjust frequency with variable capacitor.
There are a lot of them and I am confused at some of them because some used OpAmps and some didn't.
And once I tried building one, but didn't work.
My goal back then was to build 2 set of transmitter and receiver (one tx and rx set for one user) so that they can communicate like a walkie-talkie.
I know you built walkie-talkie with NRF24 and those RF Transmitter. But I do want to see a take with FM.
By the way, awesome video and great sense of humor

Hey Scott!
You could make more videos of random circuits found on internet. And then maybe in same or other video address all the flaws and drawbacks to make a more or less perfectly working circuit. That would really help people understanding what is wrong and what is write way to do things.
Love your videos.

It s not just the internet. This goes for every practical circuit: You should not believe that any circuit [ ] you see/build/find will work flawless.
In fact. My rule of thumb is the other way around. Any circuit I build will be flawed and not work entirely as I expected.

You should try out one of the 12v fluorescent lamp driver schematics that's floating around on the interwebs. there are a few different variants, with and without cathode heating, and it'd be interesting to see how they compare.

make a video about different tv flyback transformer driver on google
it could be a great idea because no one make a good and proper video about that
btw very great video series i love to see more

Can you make a video about the MOSFET failure in different situation and how these MOSFET are designed to withstand worst case scenario with some test(Unclamped Inductive stress.

There are also 12v car chargers and light bulbs. You can just connect them directly to the battery and not be bothered with any inverters and high voltages. :D

Hi sir i need a circuit to drive 12-24v led strip with microcontroller (pwm) can you please help.
Any one in comments please give any reference.

I really like the idea behind this series, just try not to upload only ciruits that kinda misrepresent themselves becuase you maybe discourage someone
