Do not confuse us Muslim Turks with yourselves. we did not attack anyone for no reason, we also brought justice, peace and tranquility to the places we went. We did not loot the countries we entered, we did not commit rapes. We did not touch anyone who did not attack us. Yes, we spread, but we did not bring blood and tears like you to the places we went. We have influenced cultures, but we have also been influenced by cultures. We have not wronged anyone. there is no colonialism in our past. never has been. The Byzantine king did not say for nothing, 'I would rather see a Turkish turban than a Latin cone in my country'. Do not confuse us with yourself. There is no such black mark in our past.

He was invited by the seljuk sultan and lived in central anatolia, City of Konya. there are hundreds of statues of him in Konya.
first turkic mgiration took place after the battle of menzikert(1071, the turks setlled in eastern parts of anatolia, also known as armenian highlands.

The Turks were already in Anatolia because they were nomads. They were mercenaries in the Eastern Roman army. The wives of the Turks were also soldiers. Interesting things have been happening lately. The DNA of the Turkish villagers working in the ancient Sagalassos excavations was sent to the Netherlands along with the ancient bones. Two workers are relatives. First they announced it. Then they denied. When I asked why did you take the villagers' DNA, they said it was a joke. Finally, they said there was a match, but I guess there was a contamination in the laboratory.

Some of these images supposedly portraying Turks are actually of the Magyars, the early Hungarian step warriors. The one of the warrior cutting his arm is a depiction of a very famous event where the chieftains of the seven Hungarian tribes formed a pact called the Blood Oath. One or two other portrayals that are supposed to be Turks are actually Hungarian warriors as well. Perhaps you might do a segment on the medieval Hungarian Kingdom (1000-1526) and then those images can be used legitimately.

Fake history. Turks were in Caucasus long before. Arabs took over Persian empire and inherited their Causasian territories. Armenians belonged to a different sect, and had problem with the Romans, so they took refuge in Persia. The 'Armenian' lands kept changing hands
between the Romans and Persians. There is no evidence of burying the dead along with their possession in conquered lands. The historians
you mention have never been to the area, their accounts are usually vased on hearsay.

Turks dont come from the east or asia like the west tells.
Its bigger and complexer than you think.
Estruscans and Troy and Sumerians are all Turks. Different names different language writings and culture and names.
Because of many nomadic travelllings.
Gene D Matlock - The Turks are the parents of the world.
We are here in Anatolia for more than 10. 000years at least.
We started the civilization here.

Those who came in 1071 were Muslim Turks. new research and DNA tests have shown that Turks have lived in Anatolia for 10000 years. It has also been discovered that the Sumerians were a people who migrated from Turkmenistan, and that Turks already lived in many Roman cities. they were occupied a lot. Why are you making a documentary with information from 50 years ago? Who was Alper Tunga? Who was Ilsu Nail?

This is really more about climat change than the Turks entering Anatolia. Listen carefully what happened between 950-1250! The nomads were displaced from their usual environment by climat change! So the climat doesnt need human activity to change! Its a cycle, it happens every 1000 years. The Nile drought is happening again today. The Egyptians are blaming it on the dam recently built by Ethiopia.

Seriously impressive work. Thanks for presenting us with a non mainstream account of history. Its true that most impressions of history are reduced to clashes of religious ideas, 7 when religion is merely a thin cover for ingrained lust and lore among all humans; its who we are really, territorial animals in human form. Such truth continues to this day.

I appreciate the dramatic tone. but it's 2021 and we're kinda sick of orientalist exaggerations. oghuz and kipchak turks have been mercenaries to the byzantine, sassanids, and abbasids. you make it sound like they appear from nothing just to invade and conquest. c'mon history doesn't go that way

plague could have been a factor, at that time, as well as the climate. I have never really seen any info, on how the plague affected Turkic peoples, just that they spread it, at certain periods of there migrations (eg. Mongols, Huns etc)

This video is so reverse of history it's hard to believe? Is it just made up history or another view of it? Definitely has a Muslim view of history, makes me wonder if just another adulterated view of true history put up by Muslims?

I am 76 years old and consider myself and educated man. Yet, I have never heard any of this remarkable history. This knowledge is essential to begin to grasp the state of the world today. Thank you for the production of this work.

There's a Turkish show in Netflix that talk about that age, and the show is highly entertaining, and way better than most Hollywood movies and modern shows. The name is Dirilis Ertogrul, I highly recommend it.

Forgive me for being an ignorant American, but can anyone tell me what specific accent our narrator has? There are so many accents in England alone, but this one is my favorite.
