How the Tulsa Race Massacre Began - Tulsa Burning: The 1921 Race Massacre - History education: i think the town of tulsa SHOULD offer restitution to the closest living relative of each man/woman murdered by the bunch of cowardly thugs, including the police force & fire dept. who purely out of jealousy & racism acted like savages in as late as 1921! they cant offer millions. the town isnt wealthy enough but enough to take someone either out of poverty or improve their safety net or just improve their bank account, home or business. maybe $100, 000 or so. more as a symbolic act of humanity, trying to correct a devastating wrong of so long ago.
i DONT believe the white people descendants are culpable(as one black man stated) as these people werent alive at the time & sons cant be held responsible for their fathers sins.
it IS a matter of doing the right thing FINALLY.
there should also be a plague at the sight of the torched town (maybe there is already) like a gravestone saying in effect -so we never forget how evil men can be when no man stands up against it. -
this was a travesty that is hard to believe 1, it even happened in 1921 what youd think? was a civilized state of oklahoma, & 2, that no one paid for their crimes even when the federal gov, & president harding, found out about it. shame on all of them.

Two thumbs up, Tusla Oklahoma, place of the Black Wallstreet Massacre, it's where I'm from and how I come. Now I know why the United States FED reserve has collaborated with the Wall Street cowgirls against me in the stockmarket daily. It all makes sense now I'm a true descendant of Black Wall Street being oppressed by American aristocrats.
The u. s. stock market is down because they don't want to see one black man OG Reggie B win at the game. Now go figure that you don't have to take my word for it, ask somebody in the know. I, m Currently in the stock TQQQ at $70. 00 keep an eye on that number and see how long it takes to get back there. I've been in it since 01/01/2022
Racism is Very much alive and active in America's stockmarket, therefore my brothers and sisters of colors and different nations beware. .. .

Even if he had actually attacked the girl how does that justify killing other black people. Very different times my friends be glad we don't live like this anymore. I'm happy knowing I can go to town see any color of person and they don't have to use a different restroom because of pigment. They don't have to worry about being hung over something because of their color and I live in the south.

Hold on, wait a minute. let's back up now. Do you mean to say that people's prejudice was fanned to flame by, dare I say it. fake news? Sensational headlines, irresponsible storytelling deliberately crafted to hook the emotions and sell papers? You mean that -news- is not puritanical wholly clean and separate from profit motive and advertising Dollars? I'm shocked.

The massacre and atrocities committed by white supremacists and racists throughout united state to prove that late Malcolm x even in his pre-Mecca time does has right idea and has point and have every reason to calling white peoples who mistreated discriminated oppressing and slaughtering against innocent black peoples as devils

I was born and raised less then 3 hours from tulsa in the river valley of Arkansas. Not once in school was this ever brought up. Been to tulsa I can't tell you how many times. I don't think my family who are all southern and southwest born and raised know about this. I will be asking to see if any of them know about it.

Coming from Atlanta I-m new to Tulsa and I-ve never heard about this. It-s so sad that even in one of the most black thriving city-s in America we still aren-t taught everything. I visit greenwood regularly because of this because it was a tradition for my family to visit the King site as a boy regularly

The riot was due to whites being envious of prosperous blacks. The blacks actually repelled the first white mob. Then the defeated mob went back and got more police from neighboring areas to help, along with more civilians. Whenever there was mob violence against blacks, police would always join in.

After all the murders, not one single white person was ever held responsible at that time. But the Universe has a way of balancing things out and believe me when I say that NO ONE got away with ANYTHING as Divine Justice was metered out to all responsible. BE ASSURED OF IT

How come that I'm a highschool graduate and that schools never taught me or showed me this in my whole life of being educated in school and now I'm just learning about this are people hiding this type of history or is this just not taught or told in schools

One little detail that always gets overlooked. the white men who attacked, were Democrats and some reports of them being KKK members. But the Ministry of propaganda doesn't want to tell you that. They have to protect the Democrats from their crimes.

Has anything changed? I'm Australian and everytime I see one of our Indigenous Australians, I feel ashamed for being white. I always go out of my way to welcome and help them. The racism that they deal with daily disgusts me.

Friends and family, you've all asked me, if I could only buy one stock, which would it be. Here's my pick (VTI.

My grandmother told me about this tragedy years ago. About the woman in the elevator and the aftermath. I still live in Tulsa and it's now a beautiful, progressive city. The black community has risen from the ashes.

When I was younger my dad was
Working in the Drexel building. The old lever was still there. Growing up we weren-t taught about what really happened. I didn-t know the full story until I was an adult

I wonder why I don-t see any women. I wonder if they were a part of it or if any women or children were also involved. Apparently houses were burned so I guess you couldn-t hide. So many lives stolen -

Like most documentaries from these sources it attempts to paint its own narrative and is completely one sided, not taking into account any previous history or happenings that led up to this situation.
reply

This should be taught, but not as a piece where black people acted heroically. This is a prime example of complicated history. Maybe there was heroics but clearly also unwise behavior.
