The Intense Mission to Explode a German Nuclear Bomb Factory in WWII - History Dose

British intelligence fears Germany may be close to a weapon that could win them World War II. As German scientists cultivate a fledgling nuclear weapons program at a heavy water plant in Telemark, Norway, the British devise a plan to infiltrate and sabotage the heavily-guarded plant. This is the story of the special operation forces who led those missionsthe men of Operation Grouse, Operation Freshman, and Operation Gunnerside Mr. : This is really good, but the Germans were incredibly far off from a nuclear bomb. The Allies only assumed that the axis knew what they knew and were working on one and were racing to finish one but in reality the Germans never started. The allies had a team sort of like the monuments men but for German nuclear science and they discovered that based on the level of nuclear technology they found the Germans hadn't considered a nuclear bomb.

The Germans had never been close to producing nuclear weapons during WW2. Their goal was to build a nuclear reactor, which could sustain a nuclear fission chain reaction, for a significant amount of time, and to achieve the complete separation of at least tiny amount of the uranium isotopes. Anything else is fable and historical fabrication.

I know it's a tiny detail, but I've read this story before and the Norwegians that took the man hostage made sure he was safe from the blast, and also took an extra 2 minutes to help him find his glasses because he lost them lol. Norway is so underrated when it comes to their military. You guys are legends

This was incredible. The narration, the music, the drawings. Very well done and I look forward to future documentaries.
One thing I wish was added was the names of the troops that were part of this mission. Their names should be honored more.

These videos are good. They would be great without the word salad. For example, sometimes it's just a river. It's not always a torrent of flowing frigid life fluid racing down hill accelerated by gravity's unrelenting acceleration. Thank you.

This Heroic tale is probadly the most widely known tale from Norways occupation in ww2. Here in Norway we call it Tungtvannsaksjonen (crudely translated heavywater action

Yt censorship started as a way to be kind. It has devolved into denial of history, reality, and the understanding of what can happen, if you can't grasp the first two.

Yo could you do a history video on Samoabecause I seen the video about Easter Island and it was insane. Or you could do a history video on any pacific island.

Really enjoyed this one. The one on the gallowglasses recently was brilliant too. I'd love to see more stuff on Irish history, it has largely been ignored

This is a truly amazing video, and the content made by this creator is superior to anything history documentary found on TV. Support 'em if you can!
