Emperor Justinian set out to reconquer territories belonging to Rome in the days of the height of the Roman Empire. Belisarius, a great roman general was sent to retake Carthage in a fight vs Vandals. In this cinematic, the Roman general Belisarius arrives in North Africa with 6, 180 troops of seasoned Roman soldiers and cavalry. He is facing Gelimer, the king of the Vandals who brings 14, 400 troops of fierce Vandal warriors and cavalrymen. Before setting it's sights on the city of Rome, Justinian wants the Northern African territories of current Tunisia under his control, part of the Eastern Roman Empire. Belisarius has fewer men but they are far more disciplined. His elite Bucellarii are also present on the battlefield. The Roman army has an advantage in the quality of its cavalry and the size of their armored archer contingent. Belisarius will have to resort to clever tactics in order to defeat the enemy more than twice his numbers. This is not a historical battle and was made only for your enjoyment of ancient battles. This cinematic was realized using Attila Total War with the Age of Belisarius mod

Amazing! It seems things moving in a chaotic action, but in reality there is a well calculated attack method being used through a systematic forward move toward the impact against the enemy. Even the way they are running forward to face the enemy by having in our attention the way positioning their head and their forward speed - it is all based on well calculated tactics. That itself needs days and months of training. I find this video very educational in learning the skill being used during wars of the past in the old days.

Total annihalation, and I think Belisarius destroyed another Vandal force - which pretty much finished off the Vandals.
The Vandal king Gelimer surrendered to Belisarius, and was sent back to Constantinople. Then it was onto Rome. to deal with the Goths.

I'm still waiting for a Parthian Seleucid war
For example that battle in which Mithridates I the great defeated a Seleucid army and captured the Seleucid king Demetrius II
Badass battle though
I loved it

The Vandals might have won the battle if Gelimer had not lost heart and fled when his brother was killed in the battle. The Vandals were winning the first battle until that happened.

Real history. Justian I Emperor (Christian) Army VS. Vandal Army (Arianism Herecy)

Rome was mighty but all good things must come to and end, Blessed Be.

That battle should have been a Vandal win if it had been executed better
