When looking at figure bass figures how can you tell if the figure bass figure is for a Secondary Dominant chord? or for German 6th? . Most figure bass figures don't tell you for chords like neapolitan chords, neapolian 6th chord, italian 6th, french 6th, german 6th. How can you tell in the figure bass notation its meant for these types of chords?
