This documentary is given misleading information on so many levels it's a shame that the speaker has never visit Saudi Arabia and the museums in Makkah and Medina and meet with the people that have solid evidence of Makkah as it's the Holy City as it is for thousands of years. All other holy sites is also important like Arafat and Mina and Safe and Marwa and Zamzam. This is the least questions this documentary didn't answer and many more he can finds if he visits Makkah himself, it's very easy to make all this assumption far a way from the source.

I would like to add that the battle of Badr in 624 which was fought between the Muslims under the prophet Muhammad (saw) and the Meccans is located between modern day Mecca and Medina. You can visit the site today and see the graves of the people who lost their lives in the battle. This indicated that Mecca couldn't not have been north of Medina and is currently in the correct position.

There no mystery to Muslim about Mecca, Kaaba or direction. Muslim know and aware before you Non Muslim discover or doing this research. Mecca is second & final direction and there a wise story & reason for tht. For sure we believe & must follow Prophet Muhammad whoever deny or not follow the prophet are not the true believers.

This theory sound fantastic but could actually have an easy explanation. Mecca was a city well known for the Arabian tribes, but not for the people that lives in Siria, Persia and other places. They could easily mistake a well-known holly city like Petra with Mecca. Remember that Constantino mistake Mithra with Christ.

All Good points tbh! but i don't see that he took in consideration the constellation change, Given that at this time longitude and latitude were not measured same way as we do today and they did basically follow the stars. That's why Arabs were leading in astrology science back then
