60 Photos Of The Vietnam War You Must See! I had 2 uncles over there. These pictures are very moving! But the first picture, in my opinion, is that the soldier up against the log, in the sitting position, and the black soldier, have just been fighting. The black soldier has hit the white soldier knocking him on his butt! The others are attempting to stop the black soldier from further violence! Look at both mens eyes! There is zero compassion between the two of them! I see extreme hatred, and Ive studied this picture for years! Why would the other soldiers be attempting to hold the black soldier from coming to the man on the grounds aid There are no medics to be seen!
Those two had just been fighting, or the black soldier hit the white soldier for something he said! In that era its not a stretch to see and think that!

America's top leaders are assholes who sent soldiers to a faraway country harmlessly and through many wars without stopping thinking of Vietnam. so that the people who commanded only knew to obey orders and died, during those 30 years the Vietnamese people died so many lives, mothers lost children, and husbands and children lost many lives. fathers, families are permanently separated, the blood and souls of Vietnamese people have permeated the land for decades, the wicked must also lose and remember that for thousands of years the Vietnamese people did not submit. a powerful force in this world. Don't touch the nation when we are living happily and loving peace, I'm a soldier myself, I'm ready to die for my people, if the country has a war.

Had an uncle that served in what he call security operations. Has never talked about it with no one, not even his own kids. But during his time there, he sent home pictures taken of him at his post and job, with orders on a bulletin board, and shortly after my grandmother received them, certain members of the CIA and army intelligence arrived at her home and took all of them, because nothing yet was declassified as it is today. And one other uncle who served as a combat loadmaster on a c-130 aircraft, plus many other Vietnam vets I worked with and for as well as in the North Carolina Air National Guard with many Vietnam Vets there as well. They never got the recognition they so much deserved.

My opinion, I think programs such as this should not have a comment section. Even the dead was disrespected and we the living, 50 plus years later, we are still getting hated on. People today are too young to understand what the draft was, and still don't seem to reconize the near war we are in now with thousands of Marines that were sent to the Middle East in July. We will always need a few good men who are willing to fight, and knows which end of a rifle the bullet comes out of. I think we'd see a bunch of refugees suddenly fleeing the United States. I am 83, I will not be doing a second tour, neither will my brother KIA Quang Nam July 1968.

I can speak of that 1st photo. It was September 1966 Operation Prarrie. The photo the black Marine was gunny Purdie, the Marine wounded laying down was unknown but he was alive at that time. The hill was named Mutters ridge or hill 400 on the map. Location was a few clicks south of the DMZ east of Khe Sanh. The Marines in the picture are from 3rd Bn 4th Marines. This hill was connected to another hill 440 via a ridge line. The NVA were from 324B who were present in this area of what we called Leatherneck Square. These two hills were constantly be fought over. We attacked them 66, 67 and 68. We left they came back.

Some powerful comments here from manyVietnam vets who must have gone through some hellish moments during that crazy war what seeing ur friends and comrades die in front of u must do to ur mind and soul is just incomprehensible to me but these people on both opposing sides went through that so even if ur not of the military kind u have to salute them for that they were powerful people but u know I bet each one that came back would also have some life affirming stories to tell as well where there’s madness like this there’s normally always some form of compassion as well

Now show the horrors our boys faced every day.
It wasn't 1 sided. You couldn't distinguish between friend, or foe.
Yes we had family members there. Marine Recon. We heard the truth. Only small pieces. They woul/won't talk about it.
But I've held strong brave men who cry.
The ones who came back were charged it humbles you. No human should see the horrors these boys lived everyday.
Pls don't judge them. Until you've experienced HELL.

My grandfather on his death bed admitted killing hundreds of innocent people he told us he was forced against his will the first 10 times and after that he believed he died and something else was controlling him he screamed all these years I’ve been living but the truth is I died A LONG TIME AGO A LONG TIME AGO I can still hear that shit in my dreams reason why I smoke so much weed today that man was fighting demons for decades smh we need to wake up

The news media was covering for the crooked politicians and the CIA murdered President Kennedy to build up the lie. The CIA kept it going and blamed General Westmorland for the failures. Nixon said we were either going to win or leave. That’s when the news media started in with Watergate on the nightly news every night for over a year. We thought we were fighting for our country. I was so mad when I came back in 1968.

The best documentary I ever saw was the last days in Vietnam the avrn had invested a lot it wasn’t just the us. It’s too bad that both countries couldn’t exist like Korea. Growing discontent from media and bad strategy killed us in Vietnam. Instead of taking and holding like in ww2 territory we searched and destroyed defending is less costly than attacking.

JFK was killed so this war could get going in a big way. LBJ promised the military industrial complex boys he'd give them their war if they got rid of JFK and Nixon promised he would keep it going for all of his first term if they got him elected and they did that by killing RFK it was a huge money war for a very select few and misery for everyone else.

All these beautiful young men are now in their 70s and 80s, forever haunted by their experiences. I am one of them. More than 50 years later I am now hearing sounds I remember clearly from those days. My uncles (Marines who fought in the Pacific) said this would happen, and they were right. It never goes away.

The biggest sacrifices usually go unnoticed and under appreciated. Godspeed you are a true patriot. I’m sorry about what people did to u when people got home. No matter what you stood up for your country and values, and the independence of the world. Viva la liberte

What the F---. This is no collaboration of rare photos. It is a collaboration of hatred, cowardness and evil. Dwhen I see these photos, it resembles Lucerfer in action through heartless men. To hell with the devil himself, the portrayed executioner will meet him.

This war was extended by president Johnson only because he owned the company that supplied armour and his wife owned the company that supplied ammunition. They became billionaires at the expense of young American boys, that’s a democrat for you.

Should American Presidents and American Generals not be punished for Vietnam, Cambodians and Laos atrocities they commited in the Vietnam War, like what they did to the German Generals of the Second World War in the 1940s.

The greatest soldiers America has EVER had next to the Union soldiers in the Civil War. I will ALWAYS honor these brave souls who God give the ability to fight and protect! God’s forever blessings on the soldiers of VietNam!

On both sides, we are all vietnamese why do we keep suffering for centuries, our history is always written by blood
The time we enjoy peace is less than the time we suffer in wars in our 4000 years of existence

We have recordings of LBJ, talking to his wife Ladybird on the phone. He knew we couldn't win that war, but he kept sending young men into a Meat Grinder. He deserves to Burn in HELL!

There may be peace there but, they still celebrate their so called victory over American, so I wouldn't call it bringing peace to your Country by celebrating So many years later!
