What If You Fell from an Airplane Into Fresh Snow?

How much can landing in snow protect you from a fall? We've seen it save people who jumped off a roof. Or dived off a cliff. And yes, they even fell from the top of a mountain! But what about a fall from even higher up? Like, from an airplane? How much snow would be required to break that kind of fall?

What happens well WHAT IF if you-re falling and you-re on a plank of ground let-s just say 6 foot thick oh no better yet you-re falling from an airplane you-re in the airplane the Wing is torn off so you got a clear place to jump from the door and land let-s just say the plane lands end right before it lands right before it-s slammed into the ground you jump straight up would that help you? If an elevator fail and 1/18 of a split second you jump right before the elevator slammed into the ground and nothing else killed you would you survive?

She's not the only person known to have survived from falling from planes: A British soldier jumped from his plane (Under attack) also in the snow in the WWII and he was able to survive it. He simply got out, wasn't attached to his seat or whatever. The trees and of course the snow helped him to survive, there are many other cases. I would 100% choose snow over any other surface, including water which is very dangerous.

I think it is best to land on feet first to save vital organs. You will save a few fractions of seconds slowing down by breaking your legs first (saving your head. Another thing, you would have better chances if you come in from a slight angle towards a slope of snow, like on a mountain side. It doesn't have to be straight onto a flat surface.

What If dry snowflakes could grow at least up to a 1- big looking like wet snowflakes. Imagine clearly seeing the shapes & designs of the snowflakes. But the catch as I imagine is if dry snowflakes come down that big in a heavy shower the rating of the snow accumulation would be crazy fast. Imagine over a foot of snow per hour.

I NEED HELP. Why does this page use METERS? And not MPH? Is he Canadian or somewhere else? I have no idea how to compare MPH to meters & kilograms? Why the hell isnt he saying 100 MPH or so on. It-d make it so easier to understand.

I weigh 2 to 5 pounds so when I fall it wouldn-t go that fast and when I go to an airplane I just fall quickly out of there if I take too long it will be super high when it-s 40 kilometers above the ground I then jump out

I dont think landing on your bellie would be the best option. You can use your legs to take a lot of the impact, its not bad if you breake your legs but ribs or head are vital. Correct me if im wrong(:

Even if you survive, alot of your bones are probably broken and you wouldnt be able to dig yourself out of the snow, so you would either suffocate or die of hypothermia

If you were high enough to be in airplane then as you were falling you would die because your would loose oxygen and would affect your lungs. I-m not a scientist

The only question is what if you have an object and your falling and you are 1 ft onto the ground and you jumped off the object? Will you be safe?
reply

Also a b 17 machine gunner directly jumped from the plane over Germany without parachute the Nazis actually gave him a certificate to prove his feat
reply

Land on your belly? Is that truly safe? If you fall into the ocean, they say feet first. Strange, for water = feet, snow = stomach. Lol
reply

Falling from an aeroplane on snow would be a challenging task, however to make it safely, the right amount of snow is required.

You would need a large amount of soft snow without anything or anybody under or near where you landed.
