You may be overlooking something about Amazons when you bring up Greek myth. they killed men for sport, enslaved them, and also had no problems with killing women who entered their territory. If they had been depicted as men instead of women, they would have been reviled and hated as barbarian murderers to this day, or perhaps forgotten entirely(Greek myth has a number of other similarly vicious groups, and only so many stories about them persisted over the millenia. I've always been somewhat leery of WW as a result, even though I recognize DC has a pretty different take on the amazons, and the character herself is less amazon and more Atalanta.
As for live action versions of her - I wouldn't watch it. A lot of the male population that really would be interested in a live action WW would be minority of actual fans and a majority of guys just looking for some legs to ogle. As a genuine fan, would you want a live action show made, even knowing a lot of viewers would only be watching to see a few women running around in skimpy outfits?

Wonder Woman would be a very tricky character to make a movie with, and I think the pressure of keeping her both -Wonder Woman- as well as modernizing her intimidates a lot of writers. Think about it, you have a bunch of guys in a writing room trying to make a strong, independent woman, and while that makes her a very interesting character, a lot of things about her character, are rather. what's the word. ridiculous. Invisible Jet, Lasso of Truth, Bracelets that deflect bullets-and I know there are some versions where she simply crosses her arms and becomes bulletproof-but as great of a personality and character she has, she would need to be completely remodeled with her lasso of truth gaining more abilities, or having less prevalence than it's given, and with the amount of changes that would need to be made to look her look, well, not like the cheesiest character you've ever seen, fans would be in an uproar about it, and it would take a lot to do that, and I don't think writers are up to, or feel like they're up to the task.

actually they're already making a wonder woman movie but yeah i totally agree with with I mean why is that only batman superman and green lantern(sob) got here own animated series I will not be satisfied until I see a proper tech vs magic fight between wonder woman and dr cyber. plus is they made a live action series it will most likely be like smallville or gotham as is the case with the greatest heroes of all time who haven't bee in their live action own tv series since 19 something

I actually dont know how hard it is to make a decent punisher movie, i mean lundgren wasnt great but it was about good as it got for 80's. Thomas Jane nailed early punisher, and warzone was pretty good except for the ray actor unable to act. you ask why well he is a ufc fighter so he cant act. Thimas jane is far better. However it goes without saying i am happy that movies were still made. Punisher is so easy, even easier than wonder woman.

Reminds me of Batman video games (pre-Arkam. He sounds like the perfect superhero for a video game. He has plenty of combat moves, all sorts of nondescript weapons that he always has on hand on his belt, he has an interesting story, a generic stop the bad guys goal; he's already pretty much any good video game player-character. But all his games before Arkam sucked.

My favorite superhero is Nightcrawler, Kurt Wagner. I also like his adoptive sister Rogue, Anna Marie, and their villainous mom Mystique, Raven Darkholme. I just especially like that whole family I guess xD
To be honest I don't know much about Wonder Woman other than a few animated Justice League episodes. I'm sure a movie or tv show would be kickass though.

Beyonce as Nubia (Diana's sister) would be awesome. Heck, if DC would bring this character back for New 52, I _might_ consider getting the comic.
And yes, I am bummed Gena wasn't even considered for Diana, when she fits the physique so well. Sure people can say her acting isn't good, but she has improved and what exactly has Gal don't to improve hers?

I think that she cant because when ever she is seen she is ether being saved or just standing around and her weapons are not as cool as u wish them to be no hate i love your stuff but thats just my see on WM.

If Beyonce was cast as Wonder Woman I would riot in the streets. and by riot in the streets I would think about righting an email to DC but never get around to actually doing it
