We Used to Eat Animals the Right Way - Here-s What Changed

Dr. Bill Schindler explains why the processes we have in place today in the food industry lead to a less healthy and enriched lifestyle. The way humans eat animals has shifted. Our brains grew significantly once the human race started hunting its food. Diets that consisted of blood, guts, and organs contributed to that growth. These parts of animals are almost completely absent from modern day diets; and these provided much more nutrition than just the animal's meat. But factory farming is disappearing in high rate thanks to organizations like BBFAW and education. And that's a main problem in 1st world countries. Were I live, little and medium farmers husband animals w/ traditional practices and all bovine cattle is grass fed and free range uwu) Obviously there's a need to attack other problems so practices like Regenerative Farming and Silvopastoral Systems are implemented-
But yeah, even if we don't gather or butcher our food, our connection with it is disappearing and that's dangerous! We need to be conscious about what we eat, it's origin, it's production or raising process, etc. That's why traceability is important but people couldn't care less xd

Yeah, I've lived all of that. I've raised animals and then butchered and preserved all I could of that animal, I made sausage and used the organs to make other foods.
I admit, I wish I could show how food is procured and how food ends up on my children's table be it vegetables or meat.
Farming is hard and time consuming and same goes for raising animals. Life used to be simpler but nowadays you aren't even allowed to butcher and animal you raised in a lot of countries.

I agree with him about the way we eat meat. But the solutions doesn-t seem very convenient to me. It all comes down to people coming to their senses and reducing their meat consumption and eat veggies. Instead of large farms have local meat producers where animals aren-t given any steroids to promote growth and kept crowded in filthy spaces. It inhumane the way we produce meat nowadays.
reply

Too bad, animals farms are already or almost turn into factories. Inhumane killing those animals in some wrong ways.
True, factories are turning animals quality over quantity, the meat is really bad, not to mention the organs too.
All those chemicals into the animals, we use to don't have that before. Bcz of businesses make these things changed.

I love being told I-m eating food wrong, then given a solution that would be almost impossible to do when people don-t have the money or any resources to get our own animals to prepare ourselves, especially sense most of the population is lazy and or other reasons that are just out of peoples control.

what about theoretical meal replacements (like soylent for example) intended to bring the full recommended daily nutrition through even less natural means? im curious to know people's thoughts on stuff like this because im a huge proponent of -more natural does not always mean better-
reply

I believe this only applies to Americans. In my country we eat basically every part of our animals. And also this is why halal meat is the healthiest. There's no huge industries that mistreat the animals. They eat only healthy food and are butchered in a humane ways.
reply

yeah no. today it's neither necessary nor sustainable nor ethical for the majority of the human population to eat other animals. the future is plant-based and vegan - that's the direction our food system and our society needs to head towards.
reply

I find it amusing how he makes all these claims about how people ate millions of years ago like it's a proven fact. Why would people make such radical changes based on unproven theories? Sounds like a democrat to me.
reply

As we speak Science is creating Meat alternatives that taste exactly like normal meat. You will very soon have all your bacon that is 100x healthier but also without needing to kill 1 single animal
