I feel smooth, like a baby otter. almost. Danwell86: Yo. Black Kings, here's my extra tips for you:
1) Use a hot towel to soften the hairs and open the pore as the first step. 2-3 minutes is enough. Otherwise, shave after a hot shower.
2) Pull the skin tight and shave in the direction of the hair growth, or across the grain (never against the grain.
3) Cut in short straight strokes. If you twist the razor, or try to cut around curves, you can cut yourself.
4) Keep that razor clean. Rinse it regularly.
5) Do the 2 stage shave. Stage 1 is a quick pass to take out the bulk. It's not supposed to be perfect. Rinse your face. Identify the areas you missed. Stage 2 gets the remaining hairs. Try to not pass over your face more than twice, can lead to razor burn.
6) try to use clear oils or gels instead of foaming cream. It helps you see where to cut and how the skin is doing underneath.
7) Close them pores back up with a cold splash.
8) Moisturize, moisturize and moisturize. Our hair is thick. We gotta feed it with beard oils, or it's gonna let your skin know it's angry.
9) Enjoy it. Never shave in a rush. It's YOU time. Give yourself 15-30 mins to do this properly.
Peace out Kings

To be honest I find all the people going on about how they don't know how to shave insulting. I never had my father in my life and lost my grandfather before he could teach me. I never learned how to use a razor myself and have always used an electric. I get what their struggle is and applaud them for the fact they are doing this.

Itd be cool to do a video of dads teaching their transgender sons to shave. Even though I had my dad in my life, we didnt have that great of a relationship and he isnt that comfortable with my gender yet. But yeah, I just sort of took the little bit that my mom taught me, and just did it on my face. Sort of still figuring it out.

I didnt get ANY of this. Lol. Primarily because Ive been growing what would become my current beard since the first whiskers sprouted. My dad DID teach me how to shave my head, though. Hes been bald (by choice) for 15 years, Ive been for about 7 (on and off about 10.
