Watch the DUST channel for our complete sci-fi library, feature films, and more This story makes me glad I was born when I was. There was no internet when I was a kid. Didn’t have my first computer until I was almost 40. The internet is nice to have but not addicted to it. I don’t do any of the fancy internet things people do. I have outside hobbies. Take away my art hobby and my beloved two cats and TV and I’d be a mess like her. Those are my addiction.

The only thing I'd wonder is how, in-universe, do they account for the various types of influencers. Beauty gurus, gamers, athletic people, family vloggers, and so on. I understand the symbolism of influencers being caged by their own expectations and society in wanting to return to the box, so maybe the filmmakers weren't thinking about that

Bravo! That was mind blowing - incredible performance by the actors, especially Gigi Edgely. The VFX were seriously impressive and enhanced the vivid realism of a dystopian future that’s not too far removed from the toxic, dysfunctional social media environment of today.
Worthy of a standing ovation!

That was just totally amazing! If it hasn't won awards, it definitely should. I would TOTALLY show it to my high school class, but the (brief and in-context) scene of (partial) nudity makes it impossible. Still, I enjoyed this: it is meaningful and artfully done.

So it's a bit like The Machine Stops by E. M. Forster; a bit like The Matrix, and has tones of Bentham's Panopticon. In other words, a perfect analog of 21st century America. I loved every minute of this brilliant, dystopian film. Bravo to all!

Somebody that actually paid attention and had a grasp on something that is substantially real. Good job. It's very lacking these just for a person to pay attention let alone correctly comprehend if comprehension is anything that they do at all

I sense this happening more frequently when this generation of OF girls and IG models start to age, the next great depression is upon us but what skills do they have besides exposing themselves Its going to be a wakeup call for sure.

Give me A Camera, a Crew, and a 2 Liter Of MT Dew. I want to tell this same story, From the perspective of the Observer who has no access to that world, seeing into that world watching reality go up in flames.

An interesting reflection of the current web celebrity craze, turning the obsession over grabbing ever fleeting attention and virtual fame into a literal workhouse prison.

Want the 15 minutes back it took to watch this screed against social media. Could have just wrote a caption social media bad and saved us all some time

How can so many DUST videos do so much more content and originality with 15-25 minutes than big named studios can with most TV shows and movies with 60-150 minutes

Getting some serious black mirror vibes which I’m sure a lot of you already knew. Wish they made sequels to some of these short films.
