This isn't exactly an ending but in Saints Row 4, there's a mission where the alien bad guy offers you a deal. He puts 2 doors and says if you choose the first you will die, sacrificing yourself and he will leave Earth and set everyone free. Door 2, you will continue trying to fight and him and risk your friends, the entire world and yourself dying. If you choose to sacrifice yourself, they will roll the ending credits as well as Thank you for playing, however, it will then say Mission Failed, he lied

About wild arm yes they did stuff like that back in the day even on the snes with lufia 2 you beat gades the first time (one of the final boss ) you get a long cut scene that we get married and live a peaceful life and then your kid get kidnap. So please before saying lies get your info right

ROSE FROM RE8 HAS ACCELERATED GROWTH so I'm not sure how drastic the time jump is some people say only as little as a few weeks and some people say a couple years personally I'd probably say its more on the shorter side as all the main cast characters would be getting a little old otherwise

Niiiiiice, Dragons Dogma in first place.
Also the Resident Evil 8 ending doesnt really mean much cuz I know for a fact Capcom will not think twice about completely ditching that ending and just make the next game completely unrelated, or even disregard the time skip.

okay, not to be an -um actually- nerd, but in RE7 and 8 we learn that the infected super children suffer from advanced aging. Evie from RE7 went from 12 year old girl to grandma within like 4 years. Rose is a bit more controlled so maybe its been a few years at most.

I appreciate what they did for John, but Arthur was my fav protagonist I've ever played as. Anyone one else upon their 2nd playthrough leave micah in jail and not money collect from downes? The camp vibes are perfect

This might not be as outrageous as some of these, but the sudden switch from -Normal RPG story- to -Supernatural plot- in Fear Effect was unexpected for me back in the days of the PS1.
