I've been out of the console game for a generation and didn't really see myself ever buying another console moving forward, but. now with ram and hardware prices for pc going nuts the next generation of consoles is starting to sound a bit more appealing. I feel like if things trend the way they currently are tho, I'll probably stick with playing the current generation of pc games until my pc gives out and then I may just swap over to being exclusively a switch 2 (of if I last long enough switch 3) player. Bigger and better graphics aren't much of a sell for me, and while I use to be an owner of every console I just can't justify it anymore. Maybe steam's offerings will be price point competitive, or some kind of steam deck will offer the option of both cheap games and system, but yeah I think quite to my surprise gaming pc's are no longer in my future unless something swings back the other direction hard.

With Valve and Xbox creating a Consoles that can play PC games, and that are direct competitors to Playstation. It makes sense that Sony would pull the plug on PC releases for their exclusives. However, as someone who owns a PS5 and a upper end gaming PC, I'm not going back to PS5 graphics to play their exclusives. I'll just find something else to play. Not releasing on PC isn't helping them, I already own a PS5, and would have bought a PS6 for the family. but now, they're losing that sale and the PC game sales. I'm not supporting anti-consumer practices. Thinking of canceling the PS Premium membership now TBH. the wife if going to have to use the 4050 laptop to run Fortnite

I feel you influencers haven’t figured out this market is shifting to where PC is competing with PS5 more and more. Most of us hardcore types out here are not gifted any hardware from sponsors, and it is getting harder and harder to afford having all the consoles and a PC. Sony provided an out. Due to rising prices, I had recently decided I would not be buying a PS6 because I could get all the games on PC. I don’t think I am unique, and I think Sony had data indicating as much. While I don’t love the decision, and it puts me in a precarious position, I certainly can’t fault them for it. I was part of the problem.

As a person that got a high end pc to take advantage of this porting thing sony did, the ps5 is not the best place to play these games. The pc opens them up for extra performance. The first game I really started to see the limitations of the hardware was with the release of ff7 rebirth. On a base ps5 I dont like playing in either of the game modes because of the sacrifices of both modes. Ff16 had a few drawbacks but nothing that made me not enjoy my playthrough like rebirth. It will be a tragedy that the third game to finish the trilogy will not launch on pc.

3: 19 ofcourse we know why are they doing it not enough games were selling for them to make sense and it makes more sense they get costumers by having exclusive than sell a few games on pc. and also it took about 4 to 5 years for games to get to pc but than it got shorter and shorter only in the end it was about a year. and i think that is smar for sony they sell around 100mil consoles and they can have their games exclusive and sell well where xbox doesn't sell enough consoles so they have to put games on Playstation

I would love to actually play indie games that only come out on pc and older games that are not on the microsoft store on my console. It would feel like less of a devils bargain with paying for online features and all that. Cause series x is lacking in games. The ones they have I already bought and there's so much that's not on there. So I always just wait for the next big release or port. It's infuriating because there's so much shovelware on there but barely any small indie games.

Sony have been losing their way for a long time now. That is why I moved over to PC to begin with. I they are trying to get people to buy their hardware again & the best way to do that is by having exclusives on their platform. Exclusives that you have to buy their hardware to play. Xbox may be up-in-the-air right now but they seem to be in a much better place right now. Time will tell I suppose but get ready for Sony to release big exclusive IP titles withing the next year or two

Hey, Jake. The Sony news
Doesn't involved me. I've been a single player action adventure gamer since the PlayStation one. So, there's enough titles coming out to keep me preoccupied. I'm currently halfway through Resident Evil Requiem. Awesome game. I have to hurry it up because I have crimson desert pre-ordered, LOL. The way that looks, I'll probably be playing at the rest of the year, LOL. Ohh yeah, I agree. they should remake resident Evil code Veronica. Rock on, bro.

I have bought like all the PS games released on PC - so I don't like that Sony stops releasing on PC. I have a PS5 that I have used like 2 times in all the time I've had it (2022. I just don't like playing with a controller - like at all. I'm sure it's because I have played with a mouse and keyboard on PC for like forever.
I hope they come around and will release their games on PC again.
I'm playing Silent Hill F and Witcher 3 at the moment.

How can you honestly talk good about Bluepoint when they've done one demons souls remake that was so bad to Miyazaki that he declined to let them touch one of the games that holds a special place in his heart. Bluepoint sucked and has created two duds during their tenure with Sony, whose fans of SotC and demons souls said they ruined the atmosphere and failed to captivate on the spark of both games among other issues.

I am super disappointed with PS withdrawing from PC gaming. I was really hoping to play Intergalactic on PC once it comes out. With the rising prices of hardware isn't it more unlikely for people to have a PC and a console Now on top of that it completely kills my copeium to one day get the native VR Resident Evil games on PC. Yes I know they were never in the cards and there are mods but I had my copeium

Xbox is no longer a competition to Xbox, especially when you consider that both companies will have some Idea what the other is working on. So Sony has no need to release games on PC as they probably looked at the numbers and figured they'll make more money selling games the old way.
PS6 will comeout, probably sell it again below cost and they have overshooted ridiculous prices for the Games.

I'm all for Sony not making games available for PC. PC gamers are full of shit. They mod something and think they're better than everybody. Also it's degrading the games with too much of the unnecessary stuff.
If you're rich, mighty and all. You bought your expensive PC, why can't you just go buy another cheaper and less powerful console while you're at it.

3: 04 A few years ago I bought a switch and only used it for mario and Zelda. I have a PS5 and really only play exclusives on it and they are just not enough. I have a medium range gaming laptop that has been giving me entertainment constantly. My next console will be the one that gives me the most options. I see no reason to buy another playstation in the future.

As a pc and PlayStation owner the strategy makes some sense though I don't like it. I've had PlayStation for the single player exclusives and the convenience of playing from the couch. The recent releases to pc made me reconsider buying the ps6 and rather going for a living room pc or steam machine to consolidate my games library. So it's bad but it makes sense.

Lots of interesting things in the world of gaming. Sony not porting to PC any more sucks for a lot of players, but I also get why they’re doing it. And Helix soundswell, interesting. I’m lucky enough to have XBox X and PS5, as well as a SteamDeck, so just sitting on the sidelines here. But between Helix and the Steam Machine, interesting potential.

I’m disappointed Sony is pulling away from pc. The last PS I bought was the ps3. I loved playing spider man when it came to pc. I played a little bit of the god of war reboot but didn’t get too into it. There is only 1 game coming out to pe5 that I want and that is Wolverine. if it’s not on pc, Xbox or switch 2 I will have n way of playing it.

hardware just isn't getting more powerful enough to really justify new consoles.
the jump from PS4 to PS5 wasn't very great, and I can only imagine the PS6 generation will end up around the same level I would've though the PS5 gen should've been if the consoles kept to the same 10 times higher fidelity generational leap they used to.

Hi Jake! I'm pissed at Sony for taking their games off PC. I really want to play Ghost of Yotei. I love Ghost of Tsushima, which I do own on the PS5 but sold my PS5 a year ago thinking they are going to release their games on PC. Currently playing Assassin's Creed Shadows, which is fun but theirs way too much story at the beginning.

what if Play Station is threatened by some of the steam law suit stuff or are afraid of getting cough in the net at some point (or tinfoil hat on, what if they are even part of it behind the scenes)
lets be real, without steam, ps games would flop on the pc platform. so saying no to pc port is just distancing from steam. . /s)
