Insomniac, as much as there are things they do in their games that I hate, will most likely take some cues from this game (i. e. healing flesh) much like how they also took cues from PS2's Spiderman 2 for their Spiderman game.

Can't keep track of how many times I've beaten this gem in the hardest difficulty. I play it every now and then in regular basis Still installed on my PC to jump back at it anytime. (You forgot to mention Wolverine can grab and impale enemies on pointy environments around or can throw at them from a distance. that one is an instant KO no matter how much beefy enemy that is. And that thing is damn satisfying if you can successfully perform one of those)
I smell Insomniac's Wolverine could be a mixture of:
Origins Wolverine + GOW + Spider-Man PS4 + The Witcher 3 + Days Gone
The combat and hack 'n slash from Origins Wolverine and GOW, The open world bike traversal and killing mutant enemies from Days Gone and from Witcher 3. Geralt's witcher senses, Enhanced smell, enhanced hearing e. t. c. to investigate stuffs. Also it's mmorpg aspect.
_Also. They shouldn't had announced it this much early. We are holding too much expectations. _

I remember when this game came out I didn't even tried playing it, it was the era where all super hero games were mediocre at best. A friend told me that I was pretty awesome, so I played it on my psp and it simply sucked. I lost my hope with all super hero games until months later arkham asylum demo was released and it was great. Years later, I found out that the psp version of wolverine was a completely different game and the 360/PC/PS3 game was the good one lol.

i beat this game twice cause i loved it so much, very seldom do you pop in a super hero game and feel like your that hero. i mean you even had control over bringing the claws out and putting them away. outside of fighting any way and even tho pointless was really cool
as for a new game wont matter what i want by the time it comes out it be for current gene (newer systems not last gen) and all i got is last gen cause it all i can afford right now

I remember renting this and Arkham the same weekend, amazing times! The main feature I'd love from this and Wolverine's revenge to be carried over into Insomniac's is retracting the claws. Different move set with just my fists, and let me decide when shit needs to hit the fan. Side note: imagine if the Yakuza series team made it? Small open world, but dense as hell and I can ride my chopper around town.

Wolverine was a great game. I played it when I had a cold because my body would be so focused on the action that my body would slow down the symptoms of my cold. So less watery eyes and snotty noise lol, pretty munched slowed it down. The whole fight or flight stuff. Hard to fight when you have watery eyes.

I absolutely loved this game. Played it back to back twice. The combat, the gore, the art design, the enemies. I don't remember one single thing of this game not being enjoyable.
Totally recommend it to anyone who didn't play it back in the day. One of the best superhero games i have played.

I bought this game cuz it was on sale and I never put it down. Always went back for my guilty pleasure until my 360 died. I trust insomniac but if they don't make it feel like this wolverine game with the action and gore, then I don't think it will be very good

This was good shit.
I feel like insomniac will most likely not got the R rating route. But, with as good as they did with spiderman and SM: MM even the X-men movies / Saturday morning cartoon standard of violence will be a fun ride.

Even though it's very unlikely I would love for the violence and gore to still play a role in insomniacs take of this legendary character. However, I'm guessing they are going to try and aim for that teen rating unfortunately
