Popular stand-up comedian Jimmy Kimmel invites the most popular people in America: actors, musicians, politicians and public figures to the night air. He takes comic interviews and presents sketches with celebrities to the audience.Kimmel's guests at various times included Brad Pitt, Harrison Ford, Robin Williams, Don Cheadle, Cameron Diaz, Christina Applegate, Meat Loaf, Dominic Monaghan, Rebecca Romijn, Sting, Matthew McConaughey, Josh Hartnett, John Krasinski, Ethan Hawke, Andy Garcia, Sheryl Crow and others.
The show is known for its comic confrontation between Jimmy Kimmel and actor Matt Damon. From 2003 to 2006, Kimmel thanked guests at the end of the show and apologized to Damon, who didn't have enough time on the air. In September 2006, Matt nevertheless arrived at the studio, but just before the end of the program, Jimmy invited him to visit the show the next day.
