In the process Raiden comes back along with fujin and other earthrealmers to assist in fight against kronika army. Something happens and shang tsung gets the crown. Fire god Liu kang again meets shang tsung in reverse. Excited about this. Outworld team members in future split. Leading to something big. Old Baraka meeting new Baraka. Like that.
