This is not one bit funny, even though on the surface Patrick laughs about his father's behavior in public. He is describing a narcissistic and abusive parent. Instead of teaching responsibility and moral character by example, Arnold raged and exerted threatening dominance over his children and probably his wife as well. All the while, f-ing the housekeeper, and not acknowledging the child he fathered. Patrick may be a good man -- but it would be in spite of his father.

I remember my uncle did this to my cousins all the time, one time he even trashed their rooms 5 boys 1girl. He didn't do it to her but they would take it out on her. At 53 he had an accident at work that left him paralyzed and brain damaged Karma! Yes my moms sister became a millionaire. She is now in a nursing home at 91. My uncle died on his 72nd birthday. She took really good care of him.

As an Austrian it is quite strange, that he does not speak german. I know that Arnold has been living in the States for many decades but he never forgot his roots. Until this day Arnold is interviewed by austrian journalists and he answers in german. I do not understand why you would not pass this on to your kids.
