I had the good fortune to hear Colin hay in cranbrook a few years ago. front row centre I closed my eyes as I listened to Colin and I was transported back to the 80’s by the voice of one of my favourite bands. Mere feet away I couldn’t believe it. Of course I bought the cd gathering mercury and he signed it. A very memorable evening in a small venue. Thanks Colin and thanks jimmy for giving this band airtime.

Anyone remember when they first played this song on Saturday Night Live around 1982-ish They had a really cool guitar intro before they got to the first note from the sax. I keep wishing they'd do that live. Kinda like the Stones never playing those first few seconds from the studio version of Jumpin' Jack Flash

Oh come on, this is a bit of a stretch. It's hardly Men At Work. It's not even an evolution of Men At Work where original members were replaced over time. This is Colin Hay and a bunch of excellent touring musicians (that are not officially in the band. Scheila Gonzalez is fire but come on.

Saw these guys opening for Toto this past fall. I think I liked their set more than Toto's and was blown away by how good Colin still sounds.
I just have to ask one thing, what did they give Cecilia to calm her down She brings A LOT of energy on stage during a live performance.

Pretty sure there were a couple of women in the band now. May need to change the name to Men & women at work or Humans at work or Individuals at work. Also, they seemed to be enjoying it so much, was it really work Maybe should name it Individuals at play Lol

No worries Colin I'm sure back in the old days back in your prime no one dared to piss you off knocking at your door with you being imposing at a commanding 6'4 & very confident you would beat them to a pulp faster than Jason Statham!

Love Colin regularly coming to see us in the UK but a while since we saw the full band. All talented artists and most obliging with autographs and selfies plus Colin with his classic songs and stories. Always a great night.

Wish it was the ORIGINAL members of the band, although Colin was/is the voice of the group and he sounds fantastic here. Just not crazy about seeing band members who weren't even born when the group was at its peak!

You guys have been my top favorite bands since I was a little girl. And Collin my eye looks like yours although we suffered different things I believe. Sending love and thanks for Minnesota to the men at work.

I still find it sad that the original sax player for this band killed himself after they lost a lawsuit for ripping off the melody for the song, Down Under. Such a shame. but it was a blatant rip off.

Someone should have told the saxophonist to not wear high heels while playing as her bending up and down while playing instead of moving along with the music being laid down was very odd.

I have been a huge and life long Men at Work fan! But let’s be honest: this should really be called The Colin Hay Band.
Still very cool, just not MaW.

While I don't decry Colin Hay from using the Men At Work name and keeping the music alive, please be aware there aren't any other members of the original band involved.
reply

I don’t remember the band ever having 2 females in it.
Obviously Colin is Men At Work but I’m guessing no one on that stage was an original member.

I love Men at Work and Colin Hay, but this isn't the original lineup unfortunately. I was hoping for most of them, but I still enjoy hearing Hay's voice.

Norwegian here, this song is on my daily rotation Spotify list and I am happy and surprised to hear Colin still have the voice to perform it so well.

For the longest time the knock on the door was likely someone serving them legal papers. They lost a fortune in a lawsuit over Land Down Under
reply

He didn't really go anywhere, like a lot of the musicians of this era he has still been doing shows in venues all around Australia all this time.
reply

Love Colin Hay but this is not Men at work in my opinion. No original members left except him. Should continue to tour under Colin Hay
reply

With modern day tech of porch cameras & old school peepholes on house doors I doubt the title of this song is still relevant. Lol
