Sooooo I just completed watching all of LGR's Sims 4-Videos over the timespan of what, a week?
I purchased the deluxe edition of Sims 4 in a sale recently (played Sims 1 and 2 like crazy as a kid and teen, but never owned Sims 3, what feels unnervingly sad in retrospetive) and wanted to check out if any of the DLCs are worth investing money into.
I chose LGR for this research adventure because I like his content overall and his reviews of for example SimCity in particular.
And WOW! This series went downhill pretty fast - well, at least for me, as I skipped through the entire 6, 5-year-history of this game and its extensive array of packs and stuff and whatnot.
I cried over Ralphs death and welcomed his rebirth only to watch him burn again within a few episodes.
And at this point I hold LGR in high regards for sticking with this series and still believing in a development for the better (despite the selling mechanisms behind it.
So: Bravo and thanks for hours of entertaining, enlightning and really usefull content that really actually helped me to decide wether or not I should buy a stuff/game/expansion pack.
Looking forward for more!
(Also thanks for the new rather cynical and passive-aggressive vocabulary and wordings I learned (since I'm rather fast speech-adaptive learner): I see - or more like hear - myself using this A LOT in the future)

So with these new packs and the addition of kits going by without even a mention by Clint the Sims King -, I'm guessing that you're just as burnt out on the sims 4 as everyone else is? I was so happy when Cindy posted her -I'm burnt out on the sims 4 and I don't care- video, and although I haven't been playing TS4 myself much anymore, I still secretly await your reviews ever so patiently - if you're done with this game, mad respect for how long it took you dude. I love your videos!

I know this is an older video but I like to go back and watch the different reviews when I am considering purchasing the packs. And on almost every single -wait until sale or skip- I have thought: -this is why I never buy them at full price and instead purchase from places like CD-Keys, Kinguin, or Instant Gaming. - The price quickly goes from $40 to at most $20. You know, the price these packs SHOULD be.

I get where they were going with the sims 4,
Bringing some sims 2 whimsy bavk into the hyper realism of ts3 but they got lost in the sauce I hope that the sims 5 team recignises this and decides to combine working aspects of all games to create a game we will all love and that will be a great tribute to a great franchise (other than the obvious problems seen with ts4)

I really wish we could have nonrabbit hole high school and elementary school. School is a huge part of kids lives and it would give us a more realistic sim life. We should be able to have preteen -relationships- and be able to take someone to prom in high school. There should be more sports options and an expansion to the gameplay of sports-.

After a couple years of playing the sims, I have gotten to a point where it's so frustrating how expensive expansion packs are and how boring the base game is without it. Especially playing on a system where you cannot access cc. So many things that should be basic things in a life simulator cost $40.

So I did the calculations and determined that, where I live, you need to have $903. 68 to buy every single pack at full price. I get that they can come in bundles, but I'm just saying. To anyone who actually owns every single expansion pack, do you feel like you're playing a $1, 000 game?

Honestly, the fact that they didn-t add Professional Snowboarder/Skier as a career despite literally including an npc being famous because he-s a professional snowboarder feels like sand under my skin. It makes snowboarding and skiing completely pointless as an activity and skill.

Do you go back to the older sims or just stick with sims 4 now? I'm trying to go back into sims 2 and 3 but for some reason still want to stick with Sims 4 just because it's still the newest in the series and still getting updated regardless of how bad it is

I really love the fact that they got actual simmers to build their lots instead of the half empty boxes we are used to. As i think it ruined a bit of the zen idea to make the pack so tourist focused i really really enjoy my sims getting to experience a new culture
