Dannys character is similar to Star Lord from Guardians of the Galaxy. He just wanted to come home and deals with how he was raised vs where he was born and what could have been. Like most young adults, hes trying to find his place.
I thought when he blew up that door behind the old lady with his fist was awesome. And the fight scene in the dojo with the swat team was bad ass. I dont know why some reviews are saying it was boring because there was action in every episode.
Oh and he was white in the comics, why is that a problem that hes white? If Luke Cage was white or Jessica was a man in the show, that would be a problem, but marvel seems to be sticking to the original script.

I didn't know who Iron Fist was prior to the series - mostly a dc fan - so my comment is not legit because I have zero knowledge about the comic character. Well, I liked the show. I found all of hero's conflict justifiable and the plot of season 1 was ok to me. I really don't get why ppl complain. As far as the badassery of the character, damn, Daredevil was getting his butt kicked all the time in season 1 to the point where it was really frustrating! Danny doesn't have the entire control of his iron fist just yet. And its not bad to see the progression of a character from trying to find himself to being the hero he will actually be.

Danny rand in Netflix should of been a man who already knew harold killed his parents a man. motivated by rage and conflicted he trained in kung lun to get his revenge they hoped to cure him of this rage and after becoming iron fist he now has new responsibilities but cant let go of his revenge he leaves, but when he returns he discovers harold died years ago. Now hes full of rage and conflicted he left the place he was supposed to protect and for nothing till he finds out about his company and wears a mask to beat people up saying it's to protect his company but it's an excuse because he needs something to project this rage on

My question is, why isn't Danny's best friend, Davos of any Asian descent? Am I the only one confused here? Danny was being teased and called an outsider in Kun Lun but what about Davos? He looks Indian to me. I know India is in Asia, but they aren't Asian, they have a completely different culture, religion, music, facial features, everything, so please don't tell me that they're Asian. (No debates please) Shouldn't he be an outsider too? I sure don't see any complaints about him not being Asian and being from Kun Lun. Hopefully they'll disclose it in season two because I don't care for comics.

Iron Fist was attacked by the obligatory HE'S WHITE crowd that never read a comic book and also the people who were bored of it. I think one problem for ME specifically is I literally JUST got done watching Daredevil, Luke Cage, JJ, and by the time I put this on I kinda wanted a break. I was able to predict when fight scenes would break out and plot holes got more annoying. I think everyone should've just taken a short break. Because yeah, the story could've been better, but it just appears awful after overdosing on some of that good marvel shiz.

Just be patient.
The previous Iron Fist in that footage used both fists, and Danny left the monastery right after he earned his fist. He still has a lot to learn so stop judging and wait for season two. Bakuta had to teach him how to heal with his fist. Give him time to master his power.
And this isn't whitewashed. It's Marvel and they have every right to star whomever they want for THEIR show from THEIR comics.
This isn't some ancient Egyptian movie or Karate movie. Then it would've been whitewashed.

I find myself rewatching both seasons to try and find something wrong with them it's difficult seeing as how he's my favorite superhero. I deeply enjoy the comics and the series so it's hard for me to complain on something I wanted to see ever since I first picked an IRON FIST comic up. I guess i'm just not really focused on all the bad matra and negative critscism. I would just rather be focussed on the future of the character. Besides I still really want to see my definitive IRON FIST on the big screen.

I actually liked season one at least (haven't seen season 2 yet) the only criticism I would have is that some events are a bit predictable at times. Such as when Danny meets Collan I was like I bet they're going to end up together and it turned out that I was right about that. Other than that I don't have any dislikes, I liked the character of Danny. While Harold is someone to be wary of I liked his grit for trying to get the Hand out of his company.

The show could've been a massive hit with better storylines, better fight choreography, and not having him fight common street thugs. I used to really enjoy the comic book Heroes for Hire which was the detective agency founded by Luke Cage/Iron Fist and often featured other super heroes looking to make a quick buck (super heroes have to eat too) but usually biting off more than they could chew with some of the insane villains they'd come up against.
