The Outrage Over Fat Thor In Endgame Tramaine: Who the hell is offended at Fat Thor? The whole thing is preposterous. I thought it was hilarious that even a God can get fat if he doesn't take care of himself. People are getting more ridiculous over the years, you cant touch anyone, make a joke, smoke, etc. A bunch of cry babies the world is turning into. You make fun of a skinny person, fat people laugh. We all laugh. Make fun of a fat person and all hell has to break lose. Call the army. A war crime was just committed. Lol. Its all B. S. If you went to go watch Avengers Endgame and you have no sense of humor, your ass should've stayed home. Excuse me, your fat ass should've stayed home. The movie is adventurous/comical. There are talking racoons. Teenage talking trees. And chicks with antennae. Green chicks, blue people and super powers everywhere in this movie and people are worried about fat Thor? Get outta with that and go cry to mommy if your offended by fat thor. I dont ever wanna share a movie watching experience with a crybaby who has no sense of humor. I mean that.

I just think we are over psycho analyzing this way to much. It was just like that paper where Psychologists examined why Batman, does what he does and the mental health problems he endures. This was just a movie guys, for god sake just enjoy the movie, and quit interjecting real life and scenarios, because at the end of the day the movie was meant to be an escape into fantasy for just a few hours. In other words a break from the stress and problems of real life. Some of these critics need to get a life. Remember these are the same critics who turned their nose up at superhero movies in the past.

Y'all are not thinking about the bigger picture. in a small period time Thor lost his mother, lost his father, lost his hammer, had a foe in his sister that he couldn't conquer, lost his eye, lost a good amount of people on his Planet, lost his planet, lost half of the people on his ship due to Thanos, lost Loki, was not able to prevent Thanos from doing the snap and when the time came for Retribution also failed at that. With all that accumulating that would break the spirit of any person especially for who was a confident person and believe that there was no foe he could not defeat

I didn't find outrage, I found myself laughing because I been through the same self medication and body physique to handle my depression after the Army for 4 years. By the time Endgame came out I was already about a half a year into a total mind flip that I had to work through in my own mind and luckily the support of family and very few friends (I don't socialize much) made it a burden I could overcome.
Thor looked more like a viking Aesir God to me with the weight, especially with the beard. I liked Thor in Endgame because I could relate.

I appreciated and loved dad bod Thor. I always hated that in media a man must have six pack abs and chiseled arms and shoulders in order to be taken seriously. The fat guy was always the comedic relief. Thor let himself go in the film not because it was funny but because hes struggling with serious issues, and alcohol and food tend to be great instant and addicting comforts. Im glad he remained fat for the entire film and was still able to save the universe. Plus he looked more like the actual mythological depictions of Thor.

Thor suddenly going fat from one scene to the next, I don't think that's a problem at all. Thor being struck so hard by grief is kind of good writing (if that makes sense) and it shows that the character can feel, and that the Russos can write a character; it was realistic the way he let himself go and then rose back up to fight. How Thor looks in the fight scene is honestly my favorite design that he has. The long straggly hair, the braids, two hammers and a stockier build makes him look much more like a wrathful God.

Thor is a coward. Captain lost his morals. Hulk isn't motivated, banner isn't clever. Blackwidow got a desk job. Hawkeye became pyschotic. Gamora is not actually Gamora. Thanos was a shell of his former future self. Iron man gave up even though his character revolves around not giving up. Antman is the only one they didn't try to destroy, because they've got to keep him around to push the wasp/daughter story later. Nebula is the only character that they did right in this entire movie. The rest of them were total shit.

I thought the point of comedy is to poke fun at subjects matters(even if it is taboo) to help people overcome with sadness and anxiety of themselves and others? How can we move on a race f we cant make fun ourselves and eachother? What happened to sticks and stones may break my bones? People are getting too sensitive or becoming too hypnotised into political correctness gone mad that one day comedy and humour will die. Its a shame

If you dont love him at his Endgame then you didnt deserve him at his Ragnarok. I actually only went to see the movie because I read about this transformation. Otherwise I wasnt going to bother because they vaporized Black Panther. Thors issues added some reality to the film. For a god to be so depressed that he loses his confidence? Thats deep. Im excited to see him in Guardians, that should be hilarious.

I absolutely agree that Thicc Thor is a natural progression for the character and I love him to bits. I do wish that more of the Avengers around him cared about his well being in a more significant way though. They can joke around sure, but I would have loved more conversation scenes where he opens up about what gave him this depressive state. Maybe it'll happen in Guardians Vol. 3: )
