Hidden Details Discovered In The Game Of Thrones Finale Script charliecranston5: I think overall, the final season plot points were fine. Had it of been stretched to have the battle for Winterfell as the finale of 8 and the series finale being season 9, the pacing would've been better and the stories would've been much more fleshed out.
That being said, there are a handful of things i would like answers on. Why make Cersei pregnant when there was no payoff? Why was there a huge deal made about the prophecy of her being killed by her brother? Where did Bran warg to during the ENTIRE battle for Winterfell? What ever happened to Daario?
Jon's arc seemed fitting. The man who just wanted a simple life led one of the most convoluted and ultimately sad lives he could've lived. That's why the ending where he journeys beyond the wall to start fresh was bittersweet for me. My biggest complaint of the entire show besides the hurried final season is Bran's character. I feel like he serves no real purpose between seasons 7 and 8, where he arguably should've had the most to do. Also, he couldn't bothered by close friends with his little i am not Brandon Stark, i am the Three Eyed Raven now but i guess he is good enough to be KING Brandon Stark to the point where he tells Tyrion Why do you think i came all this way [to become king]?

This just confirms what I'd suspected already. The writers gave no script direction as to why Daenerys burned down KL. They just sprang it on their leading lady and left it up to Emilia Clarke to try to find her own motivations as to WHY Dany would do such a thing: even though, all along, she had been The Breaker of Chains and Protector of Innocents and had never intentionally gone after innocent people. The writers tried to justify it later in the interview after the show. You know you've failed if you have to try to explain it afterwards. Someone said that this was one of the worst character assassinations in TV history. I couldn't agree more. Season 8 contained monumental BS that ruined Dany's character (along with several others: Jon, Jamie, Tyrion, Varys, etc, betrayed the decades-long care with which the actors and crew created these people and this world, assaulted the audiences' emotional state, and insulted our intelligence regarding character arcs, character identities and moral values, and previous story line histories.

I think all this nothing in the script business is much like the starbuck's cup and the water bottles: Intentionally done to annoy the fans.
As long as everyone's talking about GOT (for better or worse, they're still talking about GOT. Social media is 98% people ragging about something so. seemed smarter to go with something that would make them froth at the collective mouths, yeah?
Genuinely think it's all PR related.
Yes, the dragon that deliberately has been doing all sorts of things for all this time just HAPPENED to melt the throne and not the dude who just stabbed its mother. Right.
I really think this script is another 'unintentional' water bottle (can you imagine some lackie doing this in season one? Please.

I was so disappointed with that as Jon Snow AKA Aegon Targaryan is the one true King an him an Daenarys should have stayed together I blame Dan an Dave, an Tyrion as he basically talked Jon into see Daenarys as she has to be stopped an Jon was about to go an what does Tyrion do his last effort to try an save himself was what about your sister's, but Sansa betrayed Jon an got what she wanted to be Qween of the North an now not part of the 6 kingdoms I still don't know how Sir Davos became part of the small council not that he didn't deserve it I realy Luved Davos an for Drogon to take his mother away he isn't a dunb animal

Does anyone else feel that HBO will eventually do a reboot of GoT once the books are finished? It makes them so much money and brings in a ton of viewers to miss out on that opportunity. Preferably it could take place after the season 6 finale (Winds of Winter, it would be as if seasons 7 and 8 never happened since those two were paced too quickly and didn't make much sense. It would need all of the actors who played the main characters of course. Either that or do a complete reboot of the series taking place from the beginning but I feel it wouldn't be necessary.

authorial intentions dont always make sense. stories have a life of their own. for all this talk of the insignificance of Drogon destroying the iron throne. try to understand the whole story and then see that happen, then tell me it was a byproduct of a dragons rage? I hate to be the person to say this but i suspect that the real reason for the abbreviation of the story was a financial decision by HBO and not directly the fault of D & D. I could rip for hours on this, but to what end? when financial decisions affect creativity. ?

i wanted to take a look at Iceland and saw something interesting. We know that Jon went back to the lands beyond the wall with the free folk. Quite a bit of that land was filmed in Iceland which is called the land of fire and ice. Does anyone remember this from the books His is a song of ice and fire> Maybe Jon is where he always belonged, one of the most beautiful places on earth. Hope so. Let's send him some furs to keep him warm.

I believe they should make Movie! Maybe Arya's sailing to the place, where the dragon Care for Daenerys. When she gets there she discovers it was King Blood Raven. He took over Daenerys and the dragon. John didn't kill Queen Daenerys it was Blood Raven. Bran was trapped in past with Hodor. That when Blood Raven took Bran body. Remember the brother & Sister. The sister told Bran he died under the tree. So we have King Blood Raven.

I actually wasn't mad at first then as time went on I realized how horrible this past season was written. No one was themselves, Jon just muttered the same sentence while Arya didn't use her faces at all. Then the only battle with the Night King took place on a dragon that's it. Cersie just stood on a balcony. Not mad Dany became the villain but how it happened. They threw away two good villains to rush Dany as one.

D&D must have taken some strong shrooms or some type of psychedelic drug before losing their dam minds and ventured to ruin what would have been the greatest show ever. I simple watch seasons 1-4 and stop. That is how I want to remember this great show. I can only hope GRRM can finish the dam books. SMH
