They delayed it from august 2021 to october 2021, because of covid-19. It will make the release date. There is still 14 mounths left and it doesn't look like CGI is the main thing at all. So time is on their side.

If it does resume filming in September, it has more than enough time to finish. Jumanji: The Next Level started in February of 2019 and came out that same December and had a ton of effects and stunt work.
