Colin Farrell's Penguin In The Batman Possibly Revealed

DC FanDome finally gave us our first real look at a certain superhero who's calling himself vengeance. In the first official teaser trailer for Matt Reeves' The Batman, Bruce Wayne ominously refers to himself simply as vengeance and frankly, the scene in which Robert Pattinson utters that line in the teaser is so badass, we'd be happy to call Bruce Wayne's masked alter-ego that name for all eternity. Alee: So let me get this straight. in this movie, they have Catwoman, The Riddler AND Penguin? Did they learn nothing from Sam Raimi's Spiderman 3 and The Amazing Spiderman 2 and Suicide Squad and Justice league?

Penguin being in it hopefully means that this Batman movie won't deny it's comic book roots unlike others arguably did because they wanted to be realistic. Truthfully it's time for Batman to get back to the comic bookiness. Some of craziness of larger than life villains you could only find in a comic book but at the same time can come across as realistic and be taken seriously. A balance between the realism and comic bookiness.

So why is it when a Caucasian person plays the role of another ethnicity or color they get ridiculed for their portrayal, but when the roles are reveresed its ok? Still looks like its gonna be a badasswhoopin movie though and looking forward to its release.

I sure do hope that richard kind is gettig paid for the use of his likeness. you can save a lot of money by just hiring him to play himself. anyone do a hard check on his ears?
seems this is a diversion, not really him.

Penguin is clearly being set up as recurring character in this movies, I would say that by the end of this movie, Falcone will be dead and Cobblepott will rise to power and become the Penguin.

I sincerely prefer grounded Penguin instead of a loony for birds. He brings the mob idea that is crushed by Batman in his first years, without losing the peculiar style of his rogues.

Wondering if Farrell will be playing both a younger and old Penguin. Heavy makeup for the scene with modern day Bruce and then no makeup for flashbacks with the Wayne s

I liked the tone of the trailer, hopefully the movie keeps that throughout. Dark and gritty. Also that fx makeup is phenomonial! Could hardly tell its Colin under there

I'm already pumped for a sequel, really want to see Fries, Ra's, Tetch and maybe Crane. It's refreshing to see Nigma and Sionis as they're usually overshadowed.
