I definitely enjoyed the parallel between the alcoholism (over-consumption of spirits) and being hunted by literal spirits. As a recovering addict and alcoholic with eleven years sober, I really relate to that part of the story because that's a perfect metaphor for addiction. And the fact that it affected her mother as well was a nice touch. Congratulations to the filmmakers! Y'all did an incredible job. It was scary and unpredictable, but it also had a lot of heart and a great message behind it. I really enjoyed it! And I am usually a very harsh critic.

As they say in Colorado this was
'AWESOME! '
The female lead did an exceptional job of having you believe in and being invested in the role that she was playing.
This was an amazing Passion Play video of what evil entities could be in this realm and how you would go about fighting them in the physical.
If you watched this - then you know what it was that she utilized to make them be visible in front of her.
She was a female Warrior in battle.
This Film had you invested in the storyline and it was exceptional.

Hey yall! Erin here from the film. Thanks so much for watching our short. This was a really special film for me, and such a treat getting to work with the cutest costar alive. We had a ton of fun making this short as a team, and it's really cool to finally get to share it outside of the festival circuit. Boone is a natural. and big fan of peanut butter: ) Thanks so much for watching! xxxoxxx Erin

spoilers and my take on the short:
So the eye in the corner was basically a rift that let those invisible things in. And at the end, when Boone is barking and we see, through his eyes, all those 'eyes' looking down and the rift expanding, assumes its likely a worldwide event. Those 'x's are places she's been, locally, perhaps looking for survivors, and encountered the 'others'.

That was a terrific, yet terrifying movie. Better than most in-theater movies. As usual, the Guy or in this case, the Girl with the GUN Won the Day! Thank God for the NRA and Our 2nd Amendment Right to Keep and Bear Arms. The People of France and the rest of Europe wish they had the Right to Protect themselves and the means to do it.

Finally, someone caught my attention with a short that has substance and meaning to it. It had sort of the 'Quiet' movie theme to it, except the creatures were invisible. A full feature film of this would be well worth watching. I'd buy a ticket to it at the theater, or online rental. Great job to the writer and director.

Frack this was good.
But why do I get the feeling that untreated injuries from these things turns the victim in to one of them
District 9 style.
This needs to be made in to a series.
Even if it's just 10 to 15 min clips, done is a way where they can be put back to back and watched as a full episode.

Hands down one of the best short films. ever! (and I've seen a LOT) If I had to sum it up, it's a great Sci-Fi merge of Stranger Things, to The Walking Dead, to A Quiet Place ALL under 20mins and yet still feels fresh and is original! We need a full-length movie now. Thank you!

Good short. You obeyed the cardinal rule. The dog survives. lol
Only thing I noticed is that at the end, when she's sitting on the steps coughing, it looked like there were some audio sync issues. Sounds and actions didn't seem to line up. Good job on the effects and sets.

Very Good! Yes you could take some time and expand this especially with the dog seeing more of them coming. I like that you used the dog’s ability to see them. In a movie you could expand that and into something unique about the dog’s eyes. Their eyes have more rods than ours.

Hey all, this is Jason Sheedy of Heebie-Jeebies Pictures and the writer/director/editor of the film. This was a really special project for me as Boone is my dog in real life, and I’m so grateful for the small team that helped make it all happen. Appreciate you checking it out!

This was fantastic! One of the best shorts I've seen in a while. Just enough exposition to keep ya guessing, good suspense, loved Erin and Boone's performances. The creature effects were shockingly well done. Would love to see more of this and from everyone involved!

This was excellent. Not only the bridge between a survivalist story and cosmic horror but I have been bemoaning for months now that I see stories that fail to pull off a Chekov's gun and not only do you do it (literally, but you do it twice! Loved it!

Impressive territorial attitude without a shotgun. I would have burned the house down if it messed with my dawg.
Reality unsuspended that was a superb short, thanks for your creativity

Paint. If they exist on the same three planes we do and stabbing them results in flying knitting needles, then a jet of paint would not only mark them but also blind any visual sensors they may have.

A beautifully polished short. Seamless world building, bare-bones dialogue, amazing scene composition. Amazing acting too, not least from Boone! Seriously, he's a pro! Many thanks to the entire team!

Extremely well done, thank you. Need some transphase eradication rods from Stargate sg1. Expose them and take them out. This out of phase animal would be the worst possible thing we could face.

What a terrific film, so well done. A fresh approach to the invasion’ concept. Really beautifully shot, directed and acted. Boone is incredible, a natural star! Congrats to you all

Reminds me of a few others; a quiet place, or Bird Box, Spectral, The Darkest Hour or even a Predator version where the enemy is invisible but man finds a way to eventually survive
