I never knew the Tulsa Oilers had a female playing on the team and I am from Tulsa and I have been to a Tulsa Oilers game. That is awesome. My favorite female athlete who competed against men is Kelly Kulick because she was the first female professional bowler to win the Tournament of Champions. She gave female bowlers someone to look up to. Before Kelly Kulick all female bowlers had to look up to was Chris Barnes, Sean Rash, Pete Weber or Norm Duke. She only competed with the men because the women's league folded. Instead of retiring from or quitting bowling, she decided that she wasn't ready to leave her sport so she went to the men's side. She's a huge inspiration to female bowlers all around the world.

The general main motivation for women in every field is to beat men. they will say like this woman can beat this man in a certain sport. what does this say, that women deep inside know that men are better in everything in general that is why they make comparison with men.
But if men or women have to praise some man, they never say this man can beat this woman in a certain sport. because they know Women are not that good. It is rather an insult.

Billie Jean King! Are you KIDDING ME? She wasn't as good as a mid 200 ranked man in tennis during her time. Hell the match she's even known for was RIGGED. The guy was in debt to the mob and hyped the match so he could bet against himself cause he was the odds favorite to win. Hell he beat the top female players while warming up after smoking and drinking beer and he was old. What a JOKE!

I would have put Ruggiero higher. Not saying that the others on this list shouldn't be including, but Ruggiero is among the few on here who had to most overcome the size/strength advantage that her male opponents have.

As they were boys they didn't even get lunch money or media coverage or even appreciation.
