I have had my fair share of teen movies even after I left my own high school behind (St. Vincent's Class of 1993. but of those mentions, I am pleased to see Jawbreaker tops on the list. although it was difficult to -- if you'll pardon the pun -- swallow cinematically, it remains a favorite of mine that has been lost. but will soon find its way on Hollywood Suite later this year. and rest assured, I will add a little sweetness of my own, too. which seems kind of ironic for a dark comedy.

My sisters and I have given the majority of these the love and appreciation they deserve. Edge of Seventeen is the only one I don't agree with. I feel like everyone should see Jawbreaker. It's just so fun! My sister recently gave me a prop of the card along with the jawbreaker for Christmas last year and it's one of my most favorite movie props; the joke being that she killed Liz, the teen dream. deal with it. and my name is Liz, so. =P

Mean Creek (2004)
This R-Rated teen movie should be the ultimate answer to why revenge should never be the answer. After Sam (Rory Culkin) is beat up by George Tooney (Josh Peck, a local bully, Sams brother Rocky, his two friends Marty and Clyde hatch a plan to get back at George, but they decide to change their minds to think about the consequences of their actions. However, things go differently than they expect.

The fact that the movie the movie thirteen is on this list makes me extremely happy! I personally feel that everyone should see it at least once. Definitely super underappreciated.
Secondly I also feel that the Edge of Seventeen is also a movie that deserves a better and wider fanbase.
Real women have curves deserves better as well

I think The Way, Way, Back, is just an underappreciated movie. The relationships he makes at the park are what make the movie so endearing. That and one thing you kids will never understand - riding in the way, way, back of a station wagon. I always did when I rode with my Nana and Papa.

Real women have curves is a special movie that my mom and I share a connection to. There are not many mother/daughter relationship movies that reflect Latino culture.

Idk if this would be considered a teen comedy but Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is totally underrated. Great chemistry between Kate Winslet and Jim Carry!

Teen Witch. Before Sabrina, and The Craft. There was Teen Witch. Robyn Lively was such a beautiful and attractive goddess.

I was obsessed with Jawbreaker as a teen. Watched it many times, so I'm a bit surprised to find it wasn't that popular

The critics are right. Empire Records is a cheap rip-off of far superior 1980s John Hughes teen comedies.

Both The Edge of 17 and The Way Way Back are great films that should've gotten more attention than they did.

Accepted is a great comedy that, although a minor role, still has my boy Abernathy Darwin Dunlap in it.
