So the blue sphere stage that Sonic is in, definitely looks to be the first blue sphere stage from Sonic 3 & Knuckles. The ones Tails and Knuckles are in are definitely new. That leaves some interesting questions. Will each character have their own set of blue sphere stages? If so, would Sonic's be returning stages? If not, are they random, or is there a set order that you must complete them in to get to the other stages? If there is an order to them, do you just start at the first one once you've beaten them all? How many different stages in total?
I don't think I can make it another almost two weeks. I really want to play this game right now. Sonic 3 & Knuckles is in my top 5 favorite games of all time, and this really looks like it has the potential to dethrone that game. I'm pumped!

I'm a bit disappointed they didn't try anything new and just gave us an updated version of the Sonic CD/Sonic 3 special stages, BUT, they're lovingly crafted and look like a lot of fun so I suppose it's moot.

I gotta say, this is the first thing in the game that kinda looks unpolished is that first bonus stage. The poly models are low quality.

I'm getting some Sonic R vibes from the first set. It has the aesthetic of the new Sonic comic more though, so that's so exciting!
