These are not all. When you play New game plus, Grandmaster Manticore set loos way different. There are chainmail upgrades on the armor and other parts looks little bit different. And there is one set, viper set, which I personally consider as grandmaster armor too, it has just little bit lower defense nummbers but I like to wear it cause it looks just like Geralts first armor, which Geralt wears in all trailers, but it has viper scales on it. It's nice cause that first armour I didn't realy had time to enjoy, cause as I played I found pretty quick better armour.

I loved the cat school, the grandmaster set is fantastic I got it 6/6, I saw some people complaining about the hood, this cat school is meant to be somehow mysterious so you have to keep a mask and I loved that idea if you still don't like the hood as I mentioned it's just like a mask you can use any mask to get rid of it, put glasses the hood will be off

I like how almost everyone has their own personal favourite sets. I personally love the wolven and ursine armors the most. The viper armor is the worst looking one for me as it's just the base armor and I really don't like how it gives Geralt that triangle shape of having super wide shoulders and thin legs in comparison.

I'm currently doing my 4th playthrough, and unfortunately on this playthrough I've run into the Wolven gear glitch. I hate that I won't be able to aquire it at all on this run. guess I'll have to wait another year or two and hopefully don't run into that glitch again as it feels devastating.

ursine is the best if u dont want to die fast in death march, the bonuses are so op, dont mention the maxed quenn sign with the bonuses, also it tanks a lot of dmg and with a enchantment it can be also a light armor, u can become a unkillable monster with this armor and right enchantments

Ursine, Feline and Wolven are the top three in good looking; Manticore is a close four and last the Griffin!
I have used just the Utsine which is a powerhouse build but I want to bluf them all now and used them between a few missions, so to have variety!

reply

Honestly even though it screams expensive I could see someone wearing grand master ursine armor irl, wolven is also viable but personally I would want to buckle the chain shut across my stomach, also am I the only one who hates the hood in the feline set?
reply

Griffin's look like a knight (well since they r known for their pride and stuff, feline's look like an agile fighter/assassin, bear's look like a tank, wolven's look like a forest ranger i think? And manticore look like a scientist that can fight lmao
reply

My favorite is the Viper set I bought off of vesamires past lady at that auction house on my first play through and didn't know that was the only chance I had to aquire it in the game so it made it that much cooler once I found that out.
reply

I really love the feline armor on Gerald it suits him perfectly but I really wish there was an option to toggle the hood on and off as Gerald wearing a hood doesn't look too good in my opinion. Grandmaster wolven is my personal favourite!
reply

For Manticore it was fully upgraded which means no need to craft it from the beginning but you can craft with some components without gear sets like Wolven armor but it has a lot of crafting components to make a grandmaster.

7 years later and i still cant believe that some1 gave green light to this griffin set looks. That bulky chest piece had to be redesigned to look more fit. The game is called -WITCHER-, not a -monster hunting KNIGHT-
reply

All depends on your playstyle, ngl I-d love a transmog type system to get the stats of certain sets onto the looks of others etc, really want the Feline Set but looking like the Wolven set, would make my feckin year
reply

Really like the look of the Manticore, but I-d never put that set bonus to good use. Gotta get that adrenaline pump-n, so Ursine all the way.
(I hardly ever even used oils, much less potions, so it-d be waisted)

reply

My custom good-looking set-
Chest - viper
Gloves - feline enhanced
Trousers - Ursine gm
Boots - Ursine mc
Dyed - All White or All Black
Mod - +GM Griffin attributes
lol

THIS VID IS OBSOLETE, and does not appear to include the newer LEGENDARY sets, which are much higher level, and consistent with the newer level cap of 100.
Bailed.

reply

So I'm guessing you're not playing a PS5, because the wolven set quest is glitched. The chest at the signal tower isn't lootable for you to get the original schematics.
reply

Tell me one thing?
How is Geralt supposed to take off his wolven jacket?
The metal plate is one piece and the leather is somehow attached to it all around.

reply

wolven set is the most fancy looking, but the bonus given is not very interesting.
While Griffin is my fav bonus stats but the belly made Geralt look chubby fat.

reply

Correct me if I-m wrong but isn-t the manticore set unable to be upgraded like the viper set? If so I think the viper set should-ve been included
reply

That moment when you spend 2k Gold on ingredients to upgrade your armor, to find out hour later that you could just take apart monsters loot.
reply

The feline gives me an idea:
Turn the outfit white make the trousers and boots black then the gauntlets grey then you have ezio auditore da Firenze

reply

Only the ursine and wolven look like proper armour tho(except the griffin since you dont have a helmet the breastplate looks kinda dumb imo)
reply

Anyone in 2021? Manticore one and Wolf one are best for Touissant atmosphere, but I hate what they did to Manticore in NG+
reply

help, still could not get the wolven armor set in ps4 version. still not try the ng+ though, is it working if i play the ng+?
reply

I have wolven grandmastersets and i don't regret crafting it looks badass! Specially adding some dye of your prefered color
reply

It's the Wolven life for me. Nice mix of adrenaline, sign intensity and bleed chance. And god dayumn does it look nice.
reply

I was so sad when I found out that I couldn't use the hood of the feline armor and one of the various masks in the game
reply

It's all amazing until u arrive in Blood & Wine & acquire their armour & sword. That beats all the Witcher gear.
reply

I spent so much time to get grandmaster armor. in the end, only used it that the story almost finish. -
