Stranger Things Season 4 is filled with prosthetics and fabulous 80 s makeup and costumes. So we thought it would be fun to take a peek at the process of getting into costume. Vecna was, of course, the most challenging prosthetic of not just the season but the entire show given it s the first time they ve really worked with prosthetics of this calibre, relying on CGI more in the past.
Millie Bobby Brown takes an hour to get into costume thanks to her wig. Finn Wolfhard is tied for fastest to get into costume with the stand-out actor of the season, Sadie Sink. You couldn t see anything but white through the white contacts so the wardrobe department thought it would be fun for the actors to try a little something to keep their nerves in check.
Robert Englund knows everything about makeup and prosthetics after all his years playing Freddy Kreuger and other roles. He went straight from the makeup chair to another chair where he was bound to it. The poor guy couldn t see, speak or use his hands. Did you know the origin story behind Gaten Matarazzo s character, Dustin s hats?
David Harbour probably had the longest prep time. His prep started way before filming even began when he had to shed some weight to become malnourished Hopper. Dacre Montgomery had a fun time at the end of the day making a mess of his prosthetics. Joe Keery rolls onto set looking just a wee bit sleepy.
Grace Van Dien willingly let her hair be cut for her role as Chrissy. Cara Buono and Joseph Quinn were rocking some awesome wigs. Yes, the looks this season were a pain to craft but all that work really pays off,
Lord: First of all the we all know that Characters are one of the best we can see on Television, the coherent writing just blew my mind even though this season is going all guns blazing in terms of going Big, a huge Shoutout to VFX and production value, it feels very high than most titles on Netflix. Overall this season lived to it's predecessors in every single way, one can honestly stay up at night to watch this ASAP, it's that good. Date: 2022-06-24
