New 52 had backlash. DC You didn't have backlash because of a reboot, because it wasn't a reboot. It was a direct continuation but some people had problems with Superman Truth, Batman being Jim Gordon, Nightwing as Agent 37 (which was actually amazing and handled by the previous Nightwing writers, it really does feel like a direct continuation minus the costume. There was no continuity change, it was just a year everyone did batshit crazy stuff with their characters. DC Rebirth was actually highly praised because it added back a lot of continuity from preflashpoint timeline.

THE JOKER IS NOT A ROMANTIC DUDE! If you've read or watched the Killing Joke (very iconic) you'd know that ever since the Joker's wife, Jeanie, died he has not indulged or even tolerated affection for anyone in his mind. If you try to rebuke this by bringing up Harley Quinn, NOPE because originally (in the batman animated series) Harley was nothing more than a route out of Arkham and later a super devoted lackey to the Joker. So Melissa De La Cruz can stick her Joker love triangle down where the sun don't shine

I treat gotham high as a fanfic attempt by someone who doesn't know anything about batman so it's just a -fic- I guess? Anyways I'm not gonna read that cause it's just weird. Changing ages, character traits and even race. I mean wasn't bruce wayne in a boarding school outside gotham and then turned his attention on becoming batman to keep his vow? This could work, but it will never be more than just one of those alternate universes like the time batman became a vampire

Trust me, Americans know ReBoot! I loved that show. It was so good. I did not like how they left the final episode on a cliffhanger with Megabyte taking over the Principal Office and the citizens of Mainframe about to be hunted.

Am I the only one who thinks that Batman v Superman or suicide squad or any film DC makes is fine and people should stop complaining. And that movies are not supposed to be the same as the book/comic they are based off of.

I don't get the hate with Gotham High. It's pretty obvious what it's supposed to be. You don't have to like, I'm probably not going to like it either, but this is what elseworlds stories are supposed to be.

i got the reboot reference because i watched beast wars, which was made by the same studio as reboot. they're trailblazers in 3d animation, and i think the animation holds up

honestly what was the problem with the batgirl cover art? like yeah its messed up but its inspired by the killing joke which was a twisted story. Sometime batman stories can be.
