Welcome back, nerd squad. It-s time to take some well loved superheroes and check out some redesigns that flip their gender and offer us a different version and a different insight into who that super is. There have been so many both official and non-official gender bends of supers over the years that many refer to as rule 63. Rule 63 implies that for every male character, somewhere there exists a female version and for every female version, there exists a male. That Earth-11 Wonder Man costume was pretty interesting (I actually read that comic, but while I'm working on a gender-swapped Wonder Woman cosplay, it's not going to look anything like that at all! I'm going for more of a cross between the black-jacket-and-trousers costume (which is one of my favorites) and what Lynda Carter wore.
A true favorite of mine is Doctor Midnight, Beth Chapel. In the comics, she sported her own costume (Pieter Cross has a slightly modified version of Charles McNider's original) and is the only version of the character to not use the Mid-Nite spelling. While the version played by Anjelika Washington on the Stargirl series has yet to adopt either of those two changes, she has become my favorite character on the show.
If you go into the Rule 63 villains, Amanda, you simply must include the Ultra-Humanite, the only supervillain who actually gender-bends himself (at least two of the bodies he's transplanted into have been women.

Defines and describes what -Gender-Bent- means. then proceeds to list characters who took up the mantle from other heroes, characters inspired by other characters, or characters with the same powers as other characters.
TIP: If they are from the same universe. they're not gender-bends of each other:
Jane Foster is not a gender-swapped Thor, she is a different character who became worthy of wielding Mjolnir. Wiccan is a completely different character to Scarlet Witch. Lady Punisher met and became inspired by THE Punisher, therefore, she is a different person. Riri Williams took up the mantle of Iron Man while Tony was incapacitated, not a gender-bent version of Tony himself. Karl Kyle is LITERALLY Selina's brother, not a gender-bend! X-23 is a female clone, not Logan as a female.

Very glad Wolverine was so high on this list, 'cause Laura is one of my favorite characters! The All-New Wolverine series was great, and if there was any hero where I could say I prefer the gender-swapped version, it would be Wolverine (though Logan's great too. I'm really rooting for an adaptation of this storyline in the MCU, possibly in the form of a -Wolverine and the Honey Badger- Disney+ series.

I guess Supergirl, She Hulk, Batgirl, Wasp, Mary Marvel, Dr Fate (who was a woman at a time when Inza and Kent Nelson were combine by the helmet of Fate to become Dr Fate) and Ms Martian weren't good enough to be in the list

female wolverine is fine just not with the yellow outfit, it was a uniform of alpha male masculinity, a pair of double Dees crosses so many wires my brain feels like Megatron in a microwave.

Gwenpool actually has nothing to do with Gwen Stacy. She's a -real world- girl named Gwendolynn Poole, who gets teleported into the Marvel Universe and decides to become a superhero

You are informative, entertaining to watch and incredibly attractive. Throw in the love for comics and your personality and you become an awesome package. Keep up the lists

Yeah honestly hearing Wiccan referred to as a male scarlet witch kind of triggered me a little, but at least they didn-t say Kate Bishop was -gender bend Hawkeye-

If you believe in strong theory and different parallel dimensions of the universe comprised of the multiverse parallel versions of ourselves could exist.

Amanda! How did you forget Storm when the X-men and New Mutants stayed in Asgard? This was a What If story. Storm assumed the role of Thor.
