2 truly bonkers books:
1) Superman/Wonder Woman: Whom Gods Destroy, written by Chris Claremont. Superman debuts in the 30s, Lois and Lana age in real time, the Nazis are still in power in Europe in the present day, Greek gods are manipulating both sides, Lois becomes Wonder Woman, Lana becomes the Oracle, Superman and Lana briefly get turned into centaurs (I swear I am not making this up) and by the end of the story, it's implied that Clark, Lois and Lana are now involved in a poly-amorous relationship.
2) Worlds Funnest Comics. Bat-Mite and Mr. Mxyzptlk destroy the DC multiverse for laughs. Scenes riffing on Silver Age Superman, Kingdom Come, The Dark Knight Returns, Crisis On Infinite Earths and several other stories as well, with art by several prominent artists including Alex Ross and Frank Miller.

I liked Batman: Holy Terror, though I always wondered where it could go with a sequel.
Another I liked was JLA: Age of Wonder, where Superman came to earth in the 1850s and revealed himself at the 1876 Centennial World's Fair. Over time, variations of other JLA members start showing up, and Lex Luthor slowly transforms from an egotistical Jimmy Olson type to a monstrous Secretary of State under Woodrow Wilson manipulating the destruction of London by atomic bomb in 1914. Scary. But the setup is fun, even if the pacing and artwork isn't exactly up to snuff.

I'd like to see the -Top Ten Unauthorized Elseworlds-, i. e, -_Irredeemable_- is Boom! Studios' Elseworld in which Superman snapped under the strain of always having to be perfect, and -_Peter Cannon: Thunderbolt_- is Dynamite's Elseworld continuation of Alan Moore's -_Watchmen_- into multiple parallel universes (and immensely superior to DC's official expansions of -_Watchmen, _- I might add, &c.

Great vid! Glad you ranked one of my personal favorite stories, Speeding Bullets, so high. Wish that my other fave, Batman: In Darkest Knight, had made the cut.
LOVED that you included one of the Elseworlds Annuals from 1994- my favorites from that year were The Super Seven stories (Adv. of Superman Annual #6 & Superboy Annual #1)

Great video, even though I love marvel comics, one of the first comic books I ever read was an elseworlds issue that featured a tale of Batman as a pirate captain, and a tale of superman arriving on earth in the 1700's and landing in England, both tales were crazy but very creative.

I like the ElseWorlds annuals. One of my favs was when Steel was a slave who made his own suit. Arthur Curry aka Aquaman was the son of his slave master and friend. I still got some of those Annuals and some novels. DC should make Elseworlds a monthly series like Marvel's What If.

Two of my favorite Elseworlds are -Batman, Castle of the Bat-, and -The Superman Monster -. Both are different takes of Batman and Superman as Frankenstein. Awesome stories! I love the German expressionist trilogy as well. Probably more!

Kingdom Come is one of the best BOOKS ever. The idea that the oddly drawn Batman/Dracula, Red Son or any of these is better makes me wonder why there was need to rank these in an order. Very curious.

You should have briefly mentioned JLA: Another Nail where Batman goes to Hell and fights a demonic Joker.
Oneof my favz is Batman/Captain America and intercompany Elseworlds.

DC: Marvel, can i copycat your What If series?
Marvel: Yes DC, you can, but put a different name.
DC: Thank you. I will name it Elseworlds.
Marvel: Ok.
