If you're talking about comic books as well as movies and shows, then I think the Young Heroes from marvel started a reality TV show where they track down and arrest super villains on TV. This has been various, but the most prolific one was in the beginning of marvel civil war. In order to put on a show the Young Heroes that I believe were the new warriors ransacked a safe house for villains. This led to an explosion which actually triggered the events that pushed the superhuman registration act.
Another one that completely backfired was Batman's contingency plans. In comic books and in the animated movie Justice League Doom, Batman created contingency plans with villains were able to get a hold of. These plans were initially to stop heroes from turning bad. Either though haven't contingency plans against this subject is a good one but he should have actually had a more secure system in place where the villains was not able to get that information.
Working with villains without them trying to redeem themselves. This one is actually part of magneto working with the X-Men in the second X-Men movie. But it's more various. They have been numerous incense is of different villains working with the heroes without trying to redeem themselves. Besides magneto, the Justice League actually trust is like smooth in the Justice League animated series to stop the justice lords. This led to the creation of katniss and likely that tries to become president just to make Superman angry. Also trust in Dr Doom with trying to stop the silver surfer which he betrays them. In fact he doesn't multiple times through the marvel universe.
Trusting the government. Newest times the heroes tried to trust the government but those in power always find a way to do something shady. This was also made into newest medium. One example is Batman The dark Knight returns. In this storyline is it the government used to Superman as it turned and which leads to almost making World war III. In the DC universe also is likely becomes president and the superheroes had to work under the US government. This leads to a eagle statistical man controlling the heroes when the planet is facing a doomsday level event. Also in another fact is that in the mall of the universe the government officials betrays and teams up with bashing to create the prime sentinels through the organization known as operation zero tolerance.
Power rangers the 2017 movie. In the movie the biggest mistake that the rangers made was out of them going up against Rita without mastering the ability to move. This leads to read a caption them interrogating them to find with Zeo crystal is located which leads to one of the rangers dying. It's only through zordon that he resurrects the ranger and then they were able to morph to defeat her. Even though having the crystal hide underneath a donut shop was pretty lame too.
Forcing villains 2 become good. Anytime when a hero tries to brainwash a villain or wiping the memory out always leads to the hero into trouble. One example is safe tooth. And the comic books professor Xavier brainwashes sabertooth to become mild and peace loving but only lasts a short time before he betrays them.

Madame Web received negative reviews from critics, [97][98] who panned it as an embarrassing mess, [99][100][101] and the worst comic book movie yet. [102] On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, 11% of 246 critics' reviews are positive, with an average rating of 3. 4/10. The website's consensus reads: Madame Web's earnest approach to the title character's origin story has a certain appeal, but its predictable plot and uneven execution make for a forgettable superhero adventure. [103]
WORST OF MCU - Inhumans- The review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes reported an 11% approval rating, with an average rating of 3. 70/10 based on 47 reviews. Quill giving up his Celestial power
Whatever hero decided Captain America gets to rewrite his history while Tony's daughter loses her daddy
Charles Xavier letting a Darkhold-possessed Wanda get into his head because he thinks he can save her
Green Arrow stopping in clearing The List
Superman NOT being the badass he was against the Elite and during Injustice
Wolverine NOT skewering Cyclops sooner or later
Jean allowing Charles to block her power while Cyclops basically acts like her leash and muzzle
Stephen not challenging Wong on being Sorcerer Supreme (THERE IS ONLY ONE SORCERER SUPREME)
Batman OR Arrow not taking control of the League of Assassins

I don't think Batman sparing the Joker was a bad idea, nor does he do it out of adherence to a code. It's the consequences of what happens if he fails to adhere to the code, not the code itself. If Batman starts to murder criminals, he in fact becomes a criminal. Gotham PD can turn a blind eye to Batman capturing criminals, but when bodies start to pile up, it becomes more serious. Jim Gordan and company will start to hunt the Batman to bring him in for trial, which at the very least would reveal his identity. Bruce Wayne in jail means every criminal that the Batman can't capture because he started down this dark path is partially his fault.

Watchmen is a tough one because on one hand Rorschachs decisions absolutely wasnt dumb. It was exactly his character, and even if he did lie then theres still Dr Manhattan. Dr. Manhattan can see all points in time; past, present, and future. Even if Rorschach had lied to his face, Manhattan would have already seen the future and known the truth. The conundrum lies in whether he would have acted on it. Manhattan sees all points in time at once, but often doesnt act on those visions and chooses to let things play out, for better or worse, because hes so detached from everything. So would have acted on it or let it slide

I’m just gonna say it, THERE IS NO REASON FOR ROSs TO KEEP GOING AFTER HULK BESIDES TO TURN HIM INTOA WEAPON!
BRUCE SAVED A DUMB KID THAT IGNORED GATED GOVERNMENT PROPERTY, AND THE HULK CONSTANTLY SAYS HE WANTS TO BE LEFT ALONE!
One more thing, there was no reason for Peter to arrive his marriage to save May! This may (pun unintentionally intended) sound taboo, but it just proves that Peter has an unhealthy attachment to his aunt and really needs to get counseling over his Uncles death. Maybe Marvel should do their own version of DCs Heroes in Crisis

Batmans death was made dumber by the fact literally told him the option to eject several times. Its supposed to be made heroic by some this is it moment. Im too old now and going out in a blaze of glory. But instead its just treated as goofy because it did nothing, and the smart option was literally stated a second ago. Hell. They treated it like they thought it was going to be some looney tunes shenanigans where if he left, the plane would have just stopped mid air and just dropped from its spot unless he stayed in it the whole time

I do not blame Magneto for what he does to be fair I mean if you are a mutant that wanted to see the good in humanity and then you go through literally being a Jew in the Nazi occupation I would honestly despise humanity as well not to mention the one person who took the young and very screwed up Magneto under his wing was also an evil monster and then let's not forget what happened with the Cuban missile crisis in first class that was the catalyst that finally blew his powder keg and I'm not surprised it didn't happen sooner

19: 37 that is by far the most best choice for the worst dumbest decision in superhero history.
Is not just this terrible movie.
The flash also committed it in the comics, in the TV series, and various other moments.
You guys aren’t gods. Do you think just by doing one symbol moment that it’s not gonna affect everyone else else
Time is malleable and should never be interfered.

And The Avengers were completely I. The wrong on AvX. They invaded what was basically a precursor nation to Krakoa, prevent the arrival of The Phoenix Force only to end up doing what The X-MEN initially wanted to begin with!

You know as much as we all harp on Batman for not killing the Joker I think a bigger question is why hasn’t the citizens or elected officials of Gotham elected to bring in the death penalty Seriously, I mean with all the dangerous psychopaths and criminals that pop up like weeds in that city I think that would help keep the citizens safer than an insane asylum or notorious prison that these guys keep breaking out of.

What I'd put for honorable mention:
Justice League Doom- Justice League not agreeing with Batman on his reason for contingency plans
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness- Mister Fantastic telling Scarlet Witch about Black Bolt
Spider-Man No Way Home- Peter not thinking through about memory wiping everyone
Spider-Man Far From Home- Giving E. D. I. T. H. to Mysterio whom he known for a few days

reply

MCU Spider-Man is not really good at keeping his identity a secret. He screwed up by either:
1. Not knowing Ned or Aunt May were home.
2. Revealing his real name to Dr. Strange and Carol Danvers.
3. Unmasking himself on numerous occasions.
4. Revealing his identity to Mysterio (a stranger he just met) who will end up exposing his real name to the world ruining his life.

Why didn't Star Lord shot off Thanos' arm instead I'd have done that; gotten my revenge on him and done what we came to do at the same time. You slapped him with the gun, Quill There are other ways you could have used it. That said, he did what the timeline needed him to do in order to win, but the problem with that is that it led to some really cringe moments in the timeline.

#9. Is a code of honor ever more important than one's own life If so, Why would it necessarily be any different for Rorschach
There is the possibility that he was successful. The news team may read his journal which may lead to an investigation that exposes Veidt.
This leads to another question. Do we hold Rorschach responsible for undoing World Peace

reply

Silly to include the Deadpool one. From the rest of this list, I'm expecting plot logic anomalies and examples of dubious judgment from characters. Forgetting the duffel bag is an oversight, not a decision. Clearly it's also deliberate situational humor and not a case where audiences would hold screenwriters responsible as if for a mistake.

WB and CW just hate Batman, gotham knights batman is murdered, ssktjl Batman is murdered, The Flash CW crossover event Batman is murdered, The Flash movie Batman unneedfully sacrifices himself (take 2 gets murdered) im sure theres more instances but them are just the ones i can name off the top of my head.
reply

Captain America with his we dont sacrifice people thing in Infinity War. If they had just destroyed the stone from the get go, Thanos wouldnt have known when it happened or where it happened. However we all know Cap is from the olden days and doesnt consider Wakandans dying as sacrificing people
reply

What people miss is that in the world of Batman, he keeps seeing the same faces over and over again because judges keep releasing and rereleasing murderous psychopaths. This resonated in the 1950's/60's when the majority of asylums across the country were closed. And have you watched the news lately
