This was my journey on trying to live Raw Vegan for 7 days. It's important to challenge your body from time to time to truly allow yourself to understand what your body needs to thrive at its best. It's hard to say that one type of eating habit will work for everyone as all of our bodies work in different ways. As long as our choices do not harm our planet and/or take away freedom and peace from sentient beings, I believe it's important to try and experiment with different ways of nourishing ourselves to understand the best way we individually can thrive. Here are some of my smoothie and smoothie bowl recipes: Superfood Banana Smoothie Bowl Base: Frozen Bananas Hemp Hearts Coconut water Ice 1 tsp Green Superfood Mix (spirulina, chlorella, wheat grass) 1tsp Coconut Oil Topping: Mangos Passion fruits Cacao Nibs Hemp Hearts Watermelon Mint Smoothie: Blend- Chopped watermelon 3-4 leafs of fresh mint Ice Papaya- Banana Smoothie Blend: Papaya Frozen Bananas Cacao Nibs Ice Almond/Coconut Milk

This video wasnt at all what I expected. I really like your authenticity. You dont seem to be so focused on looking a certain way as much as you do on wellness and conscious living, and it seems genuine. This matters. Ive been inspired recently by some of the vegan videos that are more like this - that focus less on shaming people and more on the bigger picture and the happiness and peace that can come from making conscious choices. I have not gone vegan yet - partially because when I switched to plant based eating I also had a severe digestive reaction and was quite sick for over a month. I did notice some interesting things like a drop in my sugar cravings - but then I got quite sick even though I felt I was following a sensible diet. It was so hard on me that I went back to my more normal way of eating and my body calmed back down after a while. But I am still interested in trying to be more and more conscious about what I put into my body and the systems I participate in. I do think everyone should eat as little meat as possible - and vegan is the ideal. But Im learning that I need to take this slowly and try to understand my body and do some experimenting as I go along. For now Im just working on making more meatless meals and decreasing my dairy intake. This is a learning process. I was vegetarian for many years, but vegan is still a challenge for me for several reasons. I have started a gentle probiotic and Im just going to keep doing research and trying to find a way toward veganism that works for me. And thats why videos like this are helpful. Because yes many people may see the virtues of veganism. But for many its much harder to just jump into it than it is for others. And shaming people just doesnt help motivate them to change. Shame isnt a motivator. Lighting the path ahead is what matters. Your energy is very positive and you have a genuine nature. This makes your message ring clear and true. Thanks for a good video, it was helpful to me on my journey.

Hi, we just watched about 6 episodes of your videos, and I was smiling during every single one. I too, sold everything and moved out of the United States two years ago. My 12 year old son, my fiance and I now live around the world during the year, mainly in Barbados, Southern France and Naples Florida. When we are not in those places were are someplace else on the planet. My son now visits places that most other kids his age only see on Youtube, etc. He now understands (or at least learning) that live is about the experience. Not where you are going, but how you actually get there (the journey. A few years ago I realized that live wasn't about having STUFF and being identified with what you own or what you do for a living. From the moment I had that realization I've completely changed my live and the life of my family. I know that some viewers may post negative comments etc; however, from my point of view they just haven't had their moment of realization yet. And, when they do, they will feel exactly the same way as we do. Our lives are very much similar to yours with the exception that we have a 12 year old with us. Our realization have caused us to be and feel more connected with the world around us and thus have the same sentiments as you with respect to your thoughts and comments. I can write a book here, so I will end it short. However, if you ever want to visit Barbados you are more than welcome to stay at our place. Its right on the beach and its where we run and practice Yoga. Nevertheless, keep doing what you are doing. Most people are still sleeping and not yet awake and may not understand what you are doing and why you are doing what you are doing. They soon will have their moment and then will be in the same boat as us.

Wow Truly amazing video I really appreciate your honesty and authenticity Maybe you were thinking about more videos like that? :) I mean just very loose videos when you guys share your experiences or maybe tips about vegan lifestyle or something like that (by the way I truly miss Boho Diaries - you made me cry when i was watching every single episode ) I'm really curious about your first experiences on vegan diet and maybe how you figured out what to eat through out the day: D I went vegan about 7 months ago thanks to you at the beginning i experience very similiar symptoms to you trying go raw like lower level of energy, being so unable to focus, being tired all the time but also breakouts and headaches. there was a lot of ups and downs in the beginning but right now I way better than before. I mean I still learning about vegan diet and my body(i still struggling with acne which came out after going vegan) but I feel much more confident in that. I think that going raw is just too much for me at least for now. But i don't know maybe i will try this out in the future. It is always great to challenge ourselves to get to know our vehicle to life better so anyways this kind of things sounds like an amazing and so precious experience oh and thak you for recommending this app i was looking for something like this for a long timeI send you lots of love and positivity from Poland

Hey Beautiful Lady in a beautiful island ive been eating Raw (vegan) 4 two years right now N i dont see any kind of challenge i mean its so easy n it feels so good but you cannot become Raw overnight (or in 7 dys) o_O // Actually its not a lot of fun the first 3/6 mths coz you need transitioning n detoxifying your body // BTW smoothies are just such a silly way to eat fruits coz you 're just destroying all the goodness of them n the fibers which help to delay the absorption of sugars so removing them doesnt make any sense from a physiologic/healthy prospective // you cannot make any kind of conclusion eating raw 4 seven small days. even one month would be too short you need at least three months. this is so obvious // Last thing = Eating Raw is the best favor you can do 4 yourself N it goes much more beyond your imagination all the delights that it will bring you. especially 4 a yoga lover im 43 n ive been doing various martial arts n yoga for 2 decades n going raw has given more in 2 yrs than the 2 decades of non stop endeavors in these fields. but you dont need to be 100% Raw 70/80% (RawTill'4or6PM) could be a good way to make this transition during the first years N little by little your body will start to function better on raw foods (which contain the true energy as enzymes / vitamines / minerals / chlorophylle / bio-photons) than on cooked foods // All Ze Best 4 ya

HelloI really like your videos (mainly on yoga); they are very inspirational. However, I found this video quite irresponsible and again giving out a perception about raw food that is so wrongYou mentioned you wanted to connect with your body but you seem to have imposed a whole new diet, without listening to it. Diet is more intricate than just food, it is the way we nourish ourselves, the way we connect with others. How can you expect miracles in 7 days when you have been eating 'normal food' your entire life? If you have been eating 'unhealthily' for years and suddenly you cram good food on your body, of course it will react in all sorts of ways and make you sick, in your body and mind Because it is like giving a huge flush of all the toxins, in your body and in your mind, and it creates a huge mess insideRaw food is not more difficult to process than junk - it is what we are supposed to eat. But if we have been eating processed food or other 'un-natural'things for years, it is like putting a very high tech software on a very old and low functioning computer. The bloating indicates your body is not charged enough to process all the toxins the raw food (high tech material) is allowing to releaseYou touch thousand of people, please let's try to give more informed opinions on those sensitive subjects.

A different perspective here - the reason you felt badly is because raw living foods are extremely cleansing. Detoxification is an art. You can definitely go fast and experience a ton of toxins being released into your system. They will be swirling around in there until your kidneys can filter them all. If the kidneys are weak (as most of ours our thanks to our cooked diets, they can become burdened. Cleansing the body cannot happen in a three day juice fast. Weve spent years putting toxic substances and wrong foods into our bodies. We can hardly expect them to leave in a matter of 3 days or a week. Fruit is the least difficult food to digest on the planet. It has the highest energetics of anything you can eat. It contains all the enzymes needed to digest itself. By contrast, your body has to come up with enzymes to digest cooked foods. They are dead. Its not about body type. Anyone can be successful and feel amazing on a fruitarian diet, but patience is necessary. We can only inherit the health of our parents cells so detoxification can go beyond even what youve created in this lifetime. Study fruitarians like fully raw Kristina and The Life Regenerator. You fill find people doing amazing things and reaching new levels of consciousness simply by being diligent about cleaning out their temples.

Hi Julianna Thank you very much for sharing your experience as well as for your precious videos Speaking about raw vegan diet, I've been eating only raw food for about 6-7 years now. My first impression was very similar to yours, although I felt inside that I'm doing a right thing, so I continued eating only fruit and veggies. I also started to do different cleanses to allow my body to clean itself faster. During next several months I lost lots of pounds and became really-really skinny, but I also started to feel elevated. After a while I gained my weight back (I was also skinny before starting raw diet. My body was full of energy and the vibe has changed radically. There was nothing in the world that would upset me or make me feel nervous. It was the whole new world for me, and that's why I'm still doing it after all these years. I agree that you have to listen to your body first and that's what you do. We always need a right time for such transformations. So, who knows. Maybe one day raw food diet will become an important part of your life as well. Please have a beautiful day

I love your videos, you are very inspirational and are helping promote a healthy and happier world all around you Thank you I just wanted to mention one thing - because you said in the video. when you compare a vegan diet and a raw vegan diet, you're not harming the environment with any of them. and this is not true. Eating vegan still does cause harm to the environment - there are droughts from irrigation (almonds used to make almond milk for example, there is a huge use of fossil fuel to transport food around the world (avocados from Mexico to Canada for example - or matcha powder from Japan to Costa Rica) and countless other examples. You may be harming the environment LESS compared to eating animal products but stating that vegan diets do not harm the environment is not true either, and I think everyone should be conscious of each action they take and how that will affect the environment in one way or another. Again, thank you for guiding us down this path to a better life, I appreciate what you are doing to enlighten your audience.

Raw food is not more difficult to digest. It's the total opposite. Because raw food contains the enzymes for the digestion that your body doesnt need to produce. Cooked food takes a lot more energy to digest because the enzymes of the digestion are killed during the cooking. What you experienced is just your body adjusting to this new diet. But of course as any other diet it's always better to do it with the help and advice of a professional like a naturopath. There are a few things to know about food properties and body process before engaging yourself into raw diet. Just by eating raw, you are deeply cleansing your body which makes you think at the beginning that something wrong is going on (due to some body reactions) but once you know why and how to respond to it (again with the help of a professional) you can keep going on this cleansing process and then after a few weeks totally enjoying and embracing the most natural and amazing way to feed a human body for having it at its best.
