I tried the second hairstyle and it looked super cute. I was going for a mouse as my Halloween costume and it worked perfectly. Because of much thicker and heavier hair (Hispanic heritage) I needed a heavy duty pin to hold the hair in place. I went with a doubled prong metal alligator clip. It worked great to stabilize the hair without using hair spray and my hair was able to cover the evidence of the pin: -)

This tutorial was awesome I'm dressing up as Koan from Sailor Moon for a ball next year and needed to learn how to do her buns and this helped tremendously. Having naturally thick hair also came in handy as it made my buns stay propped up a little more easily without any hair spray.

your hair is the most beautiful hair i've ever seen. seriously. the waves are perfect, the color. it's dyed but it doesn't look damaged. even in the video, i can imagine how soft it would be _ sorry for sounding so creepy. im just really envious of your hair.
