This is exactly what Ive needed Back in 2014, I used your faux bob tutorial to complete my Claire from the Breakfast Club costume It worked great then, but my hair has gotten a lot longer since then. As in, shoulder blade length to hip length. This new tutorial looks much easier and more manageable for long hair, and I cant wait to try it when I go as Amelia Earhart this year (Notice my streak of powerful fellow gingersDressing as Princess Merida last year was a personal favorite. )

I love watching these kinds of videos, because they help put into perspective how much our tastes have changed. The victory rolls, for example, were a staple of their time, but they look truly ugly to me. It's fascinating how, I'll even look back on my own style from several years ago and be baffled as to why I ever did that to my hair, eyebrows, etc.

The intense amount of face tuning was distracting in this video. At first I thought it was because the lighting was too bright for the camera but. It's like she has no skin. But uncanny valley to me. But I mean. I love the video and I've always loved her voice. Granted, it defeats the purpose entirely but I can just listen.

When you talked about the wings in the 80s hair I had to laugh because when I'm on like day 3 or 4 and my hair is mostly dry shampoo, my baby hairs will absolutely defy gravity and just stick straight out from my head. It's hilarious and lightly amazing. Like 3 inches of horizontal hair. No teasing.

OMG KAYLEY I love you for this video (and in general) but this video was SO GOOD It's so helpful to have a time period hairstyle tutorial video that's this amazing, finally. I can't wait to try them out. Also, have you considered doing any hair styles of Astrid from How to Train your Dragon?

omg when you started doing 2000's it took me back to trying my HARDEST in middle school with my brand spankin' new flat iron ( ya know the one with the changeable paddles and the crimper) to get my hair to flip and flatten and shine baby weird weird weird but ya nailed it

You're 2000 hair looks like the girls I hated during high school I was more of a big poof on the top and pin straight on the bottom kinda emo girl. Including the extremely colourful hair extension and a massive but adorable hair clip for the bangs that away hung on our face

Your 80s hairstyle is literally how my teenage sister did my hair for my 5th grade picture. Straight. Up. nailed it. Half the bangs teased up, half teased down and the wings sprayed to ungodly lengths so they don't move. My mom STILL wings her hair in 2019.

I used to do those straw curls when I had long hair. Then, I thought Id get an afro, so I wanted to try it with my lob/bob length. Then came the VSCO girls, and they stopped selling the straws in the land of Oz. I guess Ill never know.

I love this video I'd love to see a series where you authenticately recreate vintage hairstyles. Definitely not just trying you to try pin curls. I'm so bad at it. I think it would be a fun challenge for you
