I actually got the original 2-in-1 Instyler after checking Grav3yardgirl's video for my mom - she's got the wild curly hair that she often straightens because it's less work. On mornings she lets her hair air dry more, a quick blow-dry and trusty straightener are faster, but she still prefers the body and bounce of the Instyler. I use it some, too, lol. I've got baby-fine straight hair, and I like to use it at the root around my crown for lift as well as giving a little polish with curving my ends and smoothing out a cowlick in my bangs. Personally haven't used it to curl yet, but I'm not used to using a curler anyway. For my hair, the body alone was worth it I get oily, so that lift even keeps my hair from looking greasy as quickly.

First I think your tutorials are amazing Braiding my hair makes me happy and relaxed and I follow a lot of hair youtubers but my hair never looks as good as in your tutorials. I love your messy and trendy vibe. Also, you know how recently a lot of runways incorporated glitter to their hair trends, I think they glued it with hairspray. Maybe you could do this in a tutorial, I think it would be so original (yet, brave) to go to a special party with this: )

I was thinking about buying this and watched a ton of videos, yours is by FAR the best one. You are easy to watch, explained things very clearly, didn't add in extra babble, I think you have a career here. So, I went out and bought it, and clearly do not have the skills you do. My fine hair and my styling inexperience are plotting against me. Gonna try it a few more times with your video playing and see what happens. BTW- the '70's side looks fabulous

I have the old one so it doesn't spin in the opposite direction. I dont really care though. If i want to curl my hair i just use it like a curling wand and don't close it. I love using it to straighten my hair cause you can use it to curl the ends rather than have pin straight hair. Also its great for straightening your bangs without making the limpedit: I have thick hair, and have used it when my hair has been medium length and long.

I personally love the InStyler. I have the older model and it works great and is the only hair tool I use for everyday styling. I have very wavy long hair and I use it to straighten and give my hair some bounce. It makes my hair look as if I got a blowout from the salon. Also you can use the InStyler when your hair is damp, the barrel dries your hair without frying it while the brush smooths it all out: )

PLEASE DO MORE OF THESE I watch a ton of first impression videos but sometimes they're not very helpful because the person testing the item isn't very skilled. Watching someone who is a hair guru/professional test out a hair tool for the first time creates a much more positive view of the product, and I get so much more out of the video Plus I just love you: ) Please do more

I liked my InStyler, but my biggest issue is I have a ton of hair, and after I want to say maybe 45 days of use, the bristles of the brush started to go janky on my. You know when you have a synthetic boar-bristle brush and they start to separate and get fluffy? Yeah, that was happening, and I was ending up with some puppy-ear situations. Not cute.

I've been using the istyler for some time. I love it. Yes, you could get hair stuck at the end so stay away from it. I've also been using the instyler hair curler and the Maximus straightener. The straightener is really great. I can get my hair done in twenty minutes. With the wet and style, it would take me at least one hour.
