So why is no one upset that someone who is fair skin can't buy a foundation from Black Opal, Shea Moisture, IMAN, KOYVOCA, Fashion Fair, Black Radiance, Laws of Nature, or Black UP? They openly target women with deeper skin tones and exclude fair skin tones. NOTHING IS WRONG WITH THAT It's a product a company sells. I don't buy from those companies because they don't make products for me. I'm OK with that. I think open/fair market is a wonderful thing. Is supply and demand. companies should never be shamed because they only make a product that targets a certain group. especially when its a first world problem product. it's make-up. not clean water. guess what buying into this scandal is doing. making TARTE and all the YouTubers who are claiming to hate on this product but still slinging it to make monetized videos MONEY. if they really want to support inclusivity why not support one of the companies that is included in the list above. Oh that's right. because they aren't getting sent the products from these companies for FREE to review. Just IMO.

thank you for your words and for being honest. It's important that brands know that it is 2018 and if you are going to make makeup, you need to include a true representation of all people. Not just people of color, because I have friends who has very fair skin that is pale and she struggles with finding a foundation that is a true shade match. Although, I disagree with your comment, when you stated that you don't know what it feels like. I am sure you may have felt excluded when you as a gentleman wanted to shop for makeup. I realize that you are a professional but at some time, I think you must have looked at advertising for makeup and not seeing anyone who looked like you. Thank goodness the world is changing and our children will grow up in a world seeing real people. People of all races, colors, genders and religions represent in everyday life. What a wonderful world. take care.

I decided to go to Ulta today because I've seen a few reviews on this foundation and figured I would look into it. Sure enough they had a pretty display right inside the store, yet when I went to try the lightest shade that they had. it was WAY too dark. I asked the sales associate if they would be getting in any of the lighter shades and she told me that they were expecting them in the next month or two. I'm sorry a month or two to expand the shade range to what it should have been at launch? That's a bit crazy. I might check back in a few months to see if it's true, but hopefully by then I'll have found a nice high coverage foundation light enough for me that doesn't oxidize.

Everyone seems to either love this foundation or hate it. That intrigued me and made me want to try it for myself. I really like this foundation (the hydrating formula. It flatters my middle-aged skin. I wear the shade Light Medium Beige, which is also my shade in the Tarte Water Foundation. Everything that hits the air oxidizes, but I didn't have a problem with the color changing when it oxidized. Did you know that the Shape Tape Concealer launched with only six shades? (I recently watched the official Tarte video that accompanied the launch) Now there are 14 shades of the concealer.

Man, even without oxidation and limited shade ranges, I can't find a matching foundation. I'm very fair (slightly tan in the summer) with OLIVE undertones Every foundation, even if the lightness is there, look either yellow or grayish pink on me, even if it says neutral because they always lean one way or another, and on top of that olive undertoned skin needs OLIVE neutral, not warm or cool/gold or pink. So Tarte shape tape is out because I'm not even gonna try to mess with that mess

I have been looking for a good foundation but I haven't found anything good for my skin. My skin is pale and red kinda like yours but a bit more red. My face use to be very dry but recently I found a face lotion that seems to be working. My nose and forehead is oily. I don't want anything thats going to make my face feel really dry or orange. I really don't know anything about makeup just that I don't like wearing a lot of it. Do you have any suggestions for me?

I wouldn't say it oxidized but just dried down way darker than when wet. So i would get a couple shades lighter than my skin tone. Which would hopefully be the lightest shade they offer. I'm so light I have a hard time finding my shade and the shade range is disappointing with this foundation. We are at the point when these makeup companies need to launch a fuller range of shades. And then add more as the feedback for undertones come in.

Yall I got the Matte one and I had the worst experience Too dry Looked soo cakey after 8-9 hours I wanted to cry It made my skin dry after it too. I have a combination of oily and dry face. When I returned it the employee was nit surprised she said I was one of many customers returning it that day. Dont buy it if u dont want to waste ur time is my advice
