You need to get someone and sue the socks off of them. My sister went through the same thing as a fashion student. A popular store suddenly had her entire line in their window a few months after her school's annual student fashion show. This was at the School of The Art Institute of Chicago. She couldn't do anything being a student, but I am praying you can do something about it happening to you. Large companies need to know they can not just steal the blood, sweat, and tears, of smaller designers. You worked so hard on this and they STOLE not duped it. I will absolutely be making purchases from your company. I have never purchased from that other brand, nor will I ever after seeing this. Looking forward to that black compact

You could definitely sue them. I agree with other people that you should find a lawyer who specializes in intellectual property. I know it could be drawn out because they have so much more resources than you do, but if you really felt strongly about it and stick it out, you might be able to win. If you win, other small indie brands could use your case later on to win theirs as well. I know this is an impossible situation, but at least now everyone knows what they did. I hope you can figure this out and you can not lose your drive to keep creating amazing, unique products

I understand Manny 100000%, however, make up revolution has been doing stuff like this forever. when too faced came out with the chocolate collection and came out with the candy- like component they did the exact same thing. when Tartes shape tape was all the hype they also came out with the same component with the thick applicator and all But Manny continued to work with this brand. all in all it should be no shocker that they did this to you. is it wrong? ABSOLUTELYbut keep in mind who you were at one point supporting

When everyone is done talking about brands and crying over rich people problems they'll realize their self righteous mentality about being a brand supporter got trump re-elected. Because if you buy any products under Revlon, LVMH/KENDO and Estee Lauder, a percentage of that goes to support him. Continue whining. just a public service announcement. If we all by lunar beauty products right now maybe it will drive up the market and Manny can finally use that to make foundation because brands I support are very limited.

I love manny mua, but I guess Im a little confused. I seen the Mac prism component and besides for it being black it is hardly different, so If it isnt 100% an original idea how can he really be mad at someone doing what he did to another company? Because hes smaller? Or bc its EXACTLY the same? So if the ridges were a tiny bit different it would of been okay? I love lunar beauty but when I first seen his hilight it thought it was going to be a new Becca hilighter.

Honestly as an artist my self I can tell you this happens all the time. The problem is that fighting for who came up with the idea first is very difficult to clam. If you patented the compact then right away you can sew because that sows that you were the first to create it. If you didnt patent it then it would honestly be hard to do anything about it.

This has to be super frustrating The amount of work you put in is amazing. You should look into getting a lawyer that specializes in brand marketing and development, and maybe do a slight redesign where the Lunar Beauty Logo is embossed into the component so it cant be copied in the future. I hope this whole thing can be resolved

They did it a few years ago when they created packaging that looked exactly the same as CT lipsticks the outer packaging was the same the only difference is it said revolution on the top of the lipstick. The bullet itself of the lipstick was the same though. I dont know how they get away with it. Hope you manage to find a solution
