As far as i know (at least in germany) they arent toxic but theres still chemicals in it that can make your skin itchy, it shouldnt get in your eyes, if you would drink it can make you throw up (but its really bitter anyways so no normal person would drink that shit) and theres a little glass thing in it that you break to get the reaction that makes it glow. so there might be tiny pieces of glass in it

I think this is silly but no it's not toxic and that is not glass. It is fiberglass. I know it's not toxic cuz my 2-year-old son years ago been into a glow stick on Halloween. I called poison control and they said don't freak out. It's non-toxic be ready to packs. It's non-toxic but it does have fiberglass and that was the concern when he bit into it so she should be okay but it's still silly

Just looked it up out of curiosity, while the stuff inside is not toxic or very minimally toxic, it is not safe to put in your hair. The liquids and chemicals can cause severe scalp irritation, dry out your hair and strip its color. Not only that the liquid usually contains microscopic glass splinters from crushing the inside vial, which can further or permanently damage your hair and scalp.

Glow sticks are generally considered non toxic and rarely require intervention from poison control. However when you crack a glow stick you're breaking a glass tube so they are dumping glass all over themselves which is not good. Also just because it's not super toxic if swallowed if you get it in your eye it's not good.

Most glow in the dark sticks are non toxic. (Made this way because of all the little kiddos that bite into them.
However- it does have a burning feeling like a battery if you put it in your mouth. Also- to deter little ones from again eating them.
Not sure about what it does to hair though Weird.

The breaking of a glowstick is GLASS BREAKING! If you’ve ever gotten that stuff on your skin it hurts because it’s chemicals and literal glass shards. That glass tube that’s falling out is a broken glass tube. Which is more concerning to me than the actual chemicals. how did u think this was safe

IDK about toxins, but i do know from experience glass shards very painful when you decide to fling all over your bodies and car just to make cool 8hotos videos either black light. We didn't realize that when youi crush yo activate the as t its glass your crushing

We used to break them and light the street up in my old neighborhood. They were from the Customs building and would last way longer then play ones! But in your hair and skin! Absolutely not! Remember those people that got tumors for making watches and stuff!

Btw they have glass valves that holds the substance that when you break it it causes a chemical reaction with the substance outside of the valve so basically you are putting glass all through your hair

. theres. theres glass, hydrogen peroxide and phenyl oxalate ester inside of glowsticks and its not good to get on your skin let alone all over your hair, scalp and possibly in your eyes. DO NOT DO THIS!

I was at a party when I was little, all the kids cut the glow sticks and splattered it on the walls. It got in their eyes and they were SCREEAAMING! I had a new found respect and fear for glow sticks

They are not toxic, but there are glass shards in there. I know they aren’t toxic because I had to call Poison Control when my daughter busted one in her mouth. Good times!
