Hey Everyone This is a little story time video of my IMATS NYC Experience. I am in no way wanting to bash or degrade Imats in any way. I love Imats so much. Imats is the place where makeup pros and enthusiasts can come together and share passion for makeup and artistry. Last year was my first time I attended Imats. I understand it is not the place for meet and greets. Manny and I decided to have our #redballoonmeetup outside for 2 hours and then proceed inside to work with a makeup company. We had NO idea the turnout inside would be so crazy We were asked to move to a photo spot. then asked to leave. At that moment, I was so flustered and overwhelmed with how the security was yelling at everyone. It was honestly so unexpected at once, I did not mean to lash out at IMATS itself on social media. I understand Imats is not equipped with the means of hosting a massive meet and greet. I know that a large crowd is a hazard and not safe for others. I was just disappointed at how the message was delivered and overwhelmed at the same time with everyone that showed up to say hello Imats was once the place where bloggers, artists and makeup enthusiasts could gather and share a love for makeup. As of now, I am not planning on attending Imats next year. In my Cinderella Story, thats where my journey began as

Checked out both you and Manny's version of what happened because he mentioned the situation yesterday on Snapchat. I think the way you explained what happened was a little more humble and easier to accept/understand. Honestly, all parties involved handled the situation poorly. IMATS should not reap the benefits of exposure via social media, but not accommodate those artists on SM who are helping advance them. It should be expected that someone with thousands and thousands of followers will potentially draw a crowd, and they should be prepared for that. If they don't like it, then their terms and feelings about it should be made clear before anybody enters the building. As far as you and Manny, I totally get being overwhelmed by fan love and it just being mind blowing to get that recognition. It's also stressful not being able to satisfy every follower by sharing a moment or a picture. With all that said. Continued

I guess the IMATS people are also stressed because they're getting orders to ensure the safety of the public AND making sure the show will go smoothly. This is a good experience though. Maybe you should plan whenever scheduling meet and greet - think of possible problems, have a plan b and c in case things go bad, and crowd control. People go crazy when they see their idols, and some become monsters. So the responsibility falls on the organizers to make sure that the choas is still manageable. Take it as a positive experience (although this comment is way too late) and be wiser next time: -)

By New York law, what they did was abusive, discriminatory and aggrevated harassment. Unfortunately, New York State, it is prevalent. I would bring those elements up to the board who arranges IMATS. I even considered flying across the world to attend all the IMATS, including to Australia. Please consider writing a formal notice and sending it via certified mail to IMATS producers. How their selected staff handled the situation was exceedingly unprofessional, at best.

Check out Stephanie Nicole's video for some background on how IMATS works for brands and YouTubers. IMATS requested no YouTubers at the events and that brands not hire them because it causes fire hazards (with crowding) and the crowds cover other booths that might be trying to sell their products. Stephanie does a great job talking about how petty people were about getting kicked out and people like Jennifer Gerard calling for a boycott of IMATS.

Was there no way to say to the people that were wanting photos thanks so much guys for coming out and saying hi, but right now we have been hired to work at the booth. we finish up here at 4pm so maybe if you come back after that we can go outside and get some more photos then. I don't understand why that's such a big deal? They should respect that you have a job to do and not treat you like animals at the zoo who are just there to take photos of.

So basically, you were unprofessional, unorganised and did your job poorly. You also fail to recognise that they did try other stuff before kicking you out, they weren't mistreating you, you mistreated them and disrupted a large portion of their event. It's nice that you wanted a meet and greet, but you should have organised a separate event, and gone to professionally do your job and learn like you say you went there to do.

Wow All that hounding, it's embarrassing Don't allow this to replay in your head. Forgive and let go. For next time, because you do have a following, make sure there is a lot of communication and understanding of what's expected from the employer and venue. Thank you for your tutorials. P. S. I couldn't finish watching this video, everything you shared I visualized and it bothered me.

Honestly, IMATS has the solution to this- don't sell tickets to the general public- they can make it only open to makeup artists and students but no they had to be greedy They want ticket sale revenues but don't know how to handle crowds. from a business perspective, it makes no sense to snub people especially when these are consumers

patrick starrr please can u give me the information on where to buy wigs from the lady that made yours? Wow it is just flawless and I'm in love. No matter how much u played with it, it stayed looking like freshly done hair and that doesn't happen with wigs or natural hair. Thank you for your videos, and love ya: )
