Hope this helps spark inspiration to chase your dreams. Rebecca Shores: Thanks so much Patrick this is super helpful. I definitely think what you said about having friends in that industry is really important I wish I was not quite so shy because I do wish I had more friends so that could talk about the business side of things as well as have friends with similar interests. I also wanted to touch on what you said on seeming intimidating as well as magnetic. When I met you at the make-up geek party I probably wouldn't have approached you because you do seem intimidating haha, but you were a total sweetheart. I really appreciated that you came and said hi and complimented my dress, And you definitely have a magnetic personality here's someone I wish I was best friends with cuz I think it would be so much fun. It's also good reminder for me since I don't know if you'll even remember meeting me so I need to remember to try to be more remarkable. Thanks again for sharing, I'm always looking for more information on how to succeed in this industry as it's ever changing and so complicated.

I LOVE THE PROCESS The reality is, going through the process makes you a more matured person. I remember my teachers pushed me in the 5th grade, I skipped 1 year of my entire primary (4th grade) school year. I didn't feel different, but I never really learned algebra and fractions. I was amazing at 3rd grade math, but not 5th grade. Do you know what the 5th grade teacher said to me? I thought you were good at math Yes I was good at 3rd grade math for god sake. We can never skip the process of growth. There are very important stuff to learn at each level Don't skip the line, wait your turn GROWTH N SUCCESS COMES AFTER MUCH WORK

I literally sat here and watched this whole thing I have to say this is such good advice. simply because on social media their are a bunch of mean girls who can try and kill your spirit which I will not allow. I started my journey a while ago and let not having the proper tools stop me. I was a hairstylist in my community and jumped into makeup simply because I love itI literally get so much backlash from my hometown simply because I started my influencer journey verses doing hair and makeup in the salonI feel like I can help more people if Im online especially with tips and techniques and I will not stop I will continue to push on in my journey

Hey, love I literally sat here and did my makeup with you while listening to this video. I really wish the makeup brand that fat shamed me watched this video as well because they need to learn how to be kind and professional. As a micro YouTuber, all of this speaks to me and makes me wish that I wasnt scared to approach you at beautycon LA last year. I saw you coming out when no one else was looking and I regret not reaching out for a hug. I hope to meet you one day and have that chance again. Keep shinning oxoxo

I have been so on the fence about continuing my YouTube journey. I was coming up with every excuse in the world not to do it. Like Im too old now, Im too fat and not fab enough, No one wants to watch me do my makeup and talk about my kids, I dont know how to edit, I dont have the good equipment. You and this video have inspired me to do what I love and to just take that chance. You are so mellow and down to earth and I love seeing this side of you.

This is the most humbling video I have seen to date. I just stumbled across it. I'm starting out and lack alot of confidence, and I have a ton of people complimenting me and telling me the same. I'm confident and absolutely love doing makeup. I love testing my limits. So thank you for inspiring me, and making myself reflect, and just do what I love Absolutely love this video Thank you for putting it out there

Thank you So much for making this video Patrick. This was really the push I needed. I've been going back in forth in my head with finally creating my videos and trying to really find myself and what I want to do. Just hearing you say that you know I want it all to be perfect but to just go for it and let my viewers see me grow is what I needed to hear. I love u Patrick Your makeup came out soo Bomb as always

I actually loved this video so much I dont even want to become an influencer or anything but I was just listening to your advice and seeing how I could apply it to my life. Can you make another like this talking about how you deal with your stress and anxiety and how to get over being afraid of a big turning point in your life. Cause thats where I feel like Im at in my life.
