Today I am so excited to share with you a series I have been working on with my personal dermatologist Dr. Julie Russak! In our Dear Derm series we are going to talk about everything related to skincare and skin health in hopes of answering any of your questions or concerns in this particular area. There is so much information out there regarding skincare and at times it can be really overwhelming. Do any of you feel overwhelmed by what to do in terms of skincare? Do you struggle with how to go about creating a skincare routine for yourself? Let me know in the comments below! If you are like me and have struggled with creating a skincare routine for yourself fear no more. Today Dr. Russak breaks down exactly what you need to incorporate into your routine and why you need it. Dr. Russak really explains what the focus of a skincare routine is. For example, creating a routine focused on protecting your skin is the most crucial in the morning, whereas at night your routine should focus on repairing the skin. She also stresses that creating a routine for yourself doesn-t have to be complicated or too many steps. The focus is really on key ingredients and products that are going to target the needs of your skin, and she dishes on what those products are and which she feels are best to skip out on. I loved speaking to Dr. Russak about this and I really believe that doing a series like this was so important and informative for all of you and I hope it educates you all about various skincare topics just as it did for me! Love this video! Emily is so beautiful! I have also had the same problem with finding a toner that won-t dry out my skin. I have incredibly sensitive, rosacea-prone skin so it really can-t handle a lot. But I love the toners from Pai skincare. They have zero alcohol. I definitely don-t use regularly since like she said, it-s not necessary. But it feels really nice and I sometimes even use it as a spot treatment when I feel a pimple coming on. Please make more skincare videos!

thanks for the series, Emily! In regards to certain questions that might be answered, I was wondering how you and Dr. Russak avoid flaking after putting on various products. When I do Vitamin C, sunscreen and moisturizer, my skins is flaking all day (at least, that's what I would call it). Is there a way to avoid this? Thanks for the help!
