The smell is strong because of natural products which you guys wouldn't know about. In India we have lot of connection with natural things both religiously and in lifestyle. These products are connected with Ayurveda. Many medicine along with allopathic doctors suggests us ayurvedic medicines as well. And yea you're kind of drowning your hair in the oil. Use a little bit and massage properly it will spread.

Putting Amla paste once or few times for an hour isn't going to do much. Amla is more like a therapy to be continued for a while. It won't make your hairs shiny but rather stronger and denser. Best to drink Amla juice than putting it in hair. If you won't to apply, heat it in coconut oil at low flame for sometime, filter it and then put warm oil in your hairs (penetrates better.

You can always buy alma oil that's pure & organic. Remember, hair is dead, so if you treat your roots, then you'll grow stronger hair, and this is taking care of what you put inside your body, and keeping your scalp healthy

S it's very very gud that's y we Indians use this regularly but ur method of applying oil n paste was wrong infact u has to make portions of hair n apply from roots to tip n prepare oil at home easily

My middle eastern bestie told me to put raw garlic marinating in this amla oil for 2 weeks, then use it. The smell was horrible, incredibly horrible, but god it did work wonders!

I wonder what would happen if you mixed the Amal powder with something like avocado oil or almond oil instead of water. Maybe there would be a difference?

That Dabur amala oil doesn't even have Amala in it lol, it's full of harmful chemicals, dye and perfume they do it so just to attract Indians consumers
