Controversial beauty opinions The aloe juice that is made to be ingested DOES NOT cause cancer. The kind of aloe that is right out of the plant or meant specifically for your skin can potentially cause cancer. I see several different oncologists (I am a cancer survivor) and one of them specializes in endocrine cancers (I see him because I have thyroid issues, not thyroid cancer, but it made sense to see him because most of my docs are at the same cancer center, he recommends drinking aloe vera juice to help with my GERD. It works great. And he says that it does not cause cancer. I trust him.

Nowadays people afraid of everything, and generalized that what bad for her/him means bad for everyone. Even now some people with dark skintone afraid of the sun. Or soybean should become the enemy of everyone. Well, my family and many other people in my country eat tofu and tempe like for every single day. We do walking under the equator sun without spf this and that. And in 44 years of my life I have never meet anyone who got skin cancer for not using spf here in my country. Or people who got cancer and die because of eating tempe and tofu too much. And I knew someone who didn't like tempe and tofu because she said it's for poor people, died because of cancer. But in my life I knew only 4 people who got cancer. 2 got leukemia from birth, 1 got cancer because of too much alcohol, doctor said.

I love the down and dirty that you tell about things like Shapeware I will wear one because I have gained weight, then lost a lot of weight and I like it way it looks when I have to wear a dress, but other than that I don t care what nobody thinks that I look like I just don t. That being said, I would love to see you do a easy weight workout and show us how you go about some thing that would be easy to learn my doctor because I m chronically ill and because I have lost so much weight he wants me to start working out with weight to build myself up and I really just do not believe that I can go to the gym three or four days a week and work out as I just don t feel like leaving the house but I would like some thing I could do at home where I could build up my arms and legs like he wants me too.

I have very dry hair I'm black and Puerto Rican mix. I love love love love the shea moisture Manuka Honey line! I can't get a comb through my hair unless I use conditioner. There's shampoo in the manuka honey use my hair so soft if I didn't want to use conditioner I wouldn't have to. I do and I will use their leave-in along with Moroccan oil stuff like that but it is incredible! I try the castor-oil one it's way too heavy for my hair. And it still felt dry. I only started just using sunscreen on my face. I don't have a wrinkle and I'm 49. I've never use sunscreen on my body. I also don't spend a lot of time in the Sun but five minutes and I have a tan! I think people got way too crazy about things. Let's face it anything in high doses is bad even water

TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU ABOUT THE SUN! And personally I purposefully buy face products that DO NOT have sunscreen! Sunscreen itself causes cancer, the sun, on the other hand, converts to vitamin D in our bodies, thus boosting our immune systems (anyone remember those! So I gladly get 20 to 30 minutes of SUN whenever I can! And just like you said, if I m going to be out on a boat or something for upwards of an hour then of course I put on a natural sunscreen. This world has gone mad! Btw, I have always lived life striving to feel my absolute best through health as well! That s what I base my content on, besides going grey!

everything is great in moderation. A healthy amount of sun: Real vitamin d, boost in immunity, healthy glow, and happiness. Too much sun: sunburn, melanoma, sun spots. A healthy amount of potassium: enjoy bananas, less cramping, more energy. Too much potassium: it's what they use in lethal injections in prisons. A healthy amount of magnesium: better sleep, helps with fatigue. Not enough much magnesium: abnormal heart beat, nausea, muscle spasms.
Everything is fine in moderation. Not getting ANY of certain things or getting too much of other things can also be bad. People live in fear and that's on them lol

Helloooooo Tati, this is one of my fave videos of yours so far! Ive been watching you for quite a good few years now and i dont always get time, but something told me i needed to watch todays. I'm 42 in less than a month and its just super fabby that i have someone to watch who i can relate to from across the pond here in the uk! Im stuck indoors due to a few disabilities, but always nice to hear how you're getting on over there! I could waffle on a whole load more, but I'll just say, theres tonnes you've said here that i very much agree with and actually do! So glad you're happy Have blessed day

Social media is just weird in general, imo. When influencers apologize for their voice being scratchy cuz they have a cold - like ok you can say I have a cold that's why my voice is scratchy - but the apologizing? Or apologies for other things that are out of someone's control never made any sense to me. And PS - I haven't tried to look it up but I have never heard anything about aloe causing cancer. But like you said Tati - at this point it feels like the list of what doesn't cause cancer is much shorter than the things that do.

People lose their effing minds over sunscreen. There are arguments that sunscreen is causing an increase in skin cancer and issues because people aren't being smart when they are in the sun. Sunscreen doesn't replace shade and other types of protection. Go outdoors. Be smart. Know your skin. Get regular checks. but I completely agree with you, ENJOY YOUR LIFE! You only have one - from a person who burns after 15 minutes and slathers himself in sunscreen because his skin requires it.

Love this video, Tati! I think more people need to be on board with the idea that what works for one person, doesn't work for someone else. Not only that but if you spend your entire life sitting there worrying about stuff to avoid, you're not going to enjoy anything. You have to give a little. I'm not saying you want to blast your skin with sun and baby oil or a tanning bed. We know better now. But being so paranoid about every little thing is so restrictive and depressing.

I absolutely love you, but I do sometimes feel like you go on these tangents and and then fall off of it and start using things you didn t say you were gonna use and then you go back on the tangents again and make a video that s controversial and then you fall off and then back-and-forth which I kind of feel like we are all like that with like health things we want to do the right thing and so we are all gung ho then we fall off because it s hard.

Tati, ever since you moved to Texas, I feel like you're allowing your true self out. I believe if I met you in person it would be the same person we see on screen. It's very brave to just tell people what is working for you as someone is always going to have a problem with the things you say. You have never seemed happier and you've never looked more beautiful! I'm really happy for you as you're living your best life!

Tati! We are soul sisters- I also try all kinds of new (and natural) health things. I love watching health videos, I use castor oil for everything- sit in the sunshine with bare feet on the grass- drink aloe juice and eat aloe Vera all of it! I dont use shampoo/conditioner/body wash- full on crunchy girl here! Thank you for sharing these things- be YOU girl! GOD has created you EXACTLY how He wanted you to be!

In regards to the sun thing. My GP (doctor) here in Australia told me to sit in the sun for 5-10 minutes a day. I have low vit D levels and he told me to do this, obviously with a hat on and not during the hottest part of the day. But it has helped a lot with anxiety and moods. If I m going to be spending more than 10 minutes in the sun with the UV 3 or above, then I need sunscreen.

So you're going 'going with flow'? Yep. Life is fluid, time waits for no one. FYI: only people who truly trust themselves can do this. Good to know that you feel that way. It's an inner strength that you were lacking before and that had made me sad. So I'm truly happy to hear that you're going with it and unapologetic. You THE babe Tati! xoxoxo!
reply

I love Tati, but I really wish influencers as well as celebrities would stop talking about things they re not educated about, please.
So sunscreen and oils are toxic but tanning under the sunlight and dry shampoos are not?
You do you of course and with all due respect but let us all keep those informative advice to the experts
Thank you

Here in Arizona it's been in the high-90s low 100s and it's so lovely. The rest of the country might think we're crazy but it's beautiful I'm sure castor oil has some great benefits but just a note to anyone in the comments, if you are pregnant please stay away from the castor oil. Ingesting it could cause some really dangerous things to happen.

I totally agree with you about sunscreen. I work in my garden all the time with NO sunscreen on. I wear a wide brim hat, sunglasses and long sleeved shirts. Sunscreen is full of garbage I don't want on my skin. It seems just about everything causes cancer, you just have to pick what's most important to you that you can live with and without.
reply

I totally agree about the sun. And I'm an esthetician so trust me they push the anti sun stuff hard in those classes. In my opinion even if you get some changes in your skin from the sun you still need vitamin d! And don't tell me a supplement is the same thing! Sun in moderation is the way to go, these sunscreens have horrible ingredients
reply

The latex in the aloe plant is NOT good for you, but, if aloe is processed properly, it shouldn't cause cancer. It's just important to make sure the brand is processing properly. The no sunscreen thing is terrifying but it sounds like you know the risks and you're a big girl so we're not going to tell you off- at least I'm not
