the best part of this series is that the old recipe is just done in habberdashery, to make fun of their past selves, but even then it /still holds up/ and that is /amazing/

Ben's version of Strawberry shortcake doesn't seem like strawberry but mixed fruit cake. Nothing wrong with that, but it doesn't fit the purpose of the do over. JMO.

I don't think I've ever actually had short cake? I'm trying to think of what it tastes like. We always had angel food cake with our strawberries and cream

I prefer the original, as I would be more inclined to make that (with the exception of adding cream cheese to the cream, which sounds much better.
